The box will be checked on your letter that says "permanent and total" . It should also say something along the lines of "no future exams scheduled" or something similar as well. You can also download the letter on va.gov and if that box is checked saying permanent and total that's another way.

Hmm my letter from the VA just says 100 percent and tells me how much I will get paid, nothing about future appointments or checked boxes
When you do your exit interview with your MSC VA Rep that is when you will find out all that information. The military side has no information or "knowledge" in regards to that. They will tell you they are not allowed to inform you this because that information can change up until you have your exit interview.Hmm im not sure, where would it say?? my 199 said permanent disability list not the temp one, does that mean permanent for VA too?

Ohh for sure, in the mean time I just keep taking zoom interviews and networking for jobs. This is ridiculous. I’m over 100 days in the PEB. Ive called PEBLO and Ombudsman. Both say any day now. I had to send my kids back home where we are moving to start school. My mom is dying from stage 4 lung cancer. Meanwhile these people are sitting on my 199.. I do not understand the order in which they process packets, but I started this process in January. My Narsum was done the beginning of May and was found officially unfit by the PEB on 5 June. What is the deal..

Dang sorry about your mom man that is really terrible, I really really hope yours comes ASAP, this whole process is just so random like with no order in which ppl receive their 199 back. Anyway you can get your commander involved let him know about your mom?
Yeaaaa man!!! finally congrats!! Damn man that is awesome, we made it! I just did my exit interview with msc today, was super easy, he said I was on the permanent list so I dont have to worry about doing more exams in the future which is nice. Good luck man!Received 199 today…

Thanks so much man, I really hope so too, going through so much stuff right now which is stressing me out so much, just need to close this chapter of my life asap and move on like you said.Congrats to you both.
