IDES Timeline

Shit if they find me unfit within the next 3 weeks hopefully it will exempt me from standing SDO on Thanksgiving lol

Mine was submitted 14 May and I received an MOL message saying it was accepted 11 June but my duty status says it was accepted 14 May. Either way, it took 40 days for my case to make it to the medical officer so I guess my clock started on 23 June which makes today 131 days.

The time for cases between being sent to the PEB, accepted by the PEB, and being moved to the medical officer queue seems to be all over the place.
I wouldn't give you too much longer. Stop in tomorrow in the afternoon to your PEBLO and see if your case has been moved to the compensation officer. If it has then it means you were found unfit and will give you about a week heads up of your findings coming back.
Whoa! When did it hit the Medical Officer? Mine was accepted by the PEB June 2nd and hit medical officer stage on July 9th.
I don't know the exact date. If you look at the excel sheet @POG posted the other week i was at 104 days on it. So reference that in comparison to how many days you were with the MO on that excel sheet.

I was at 102 days on that report.

It's almost my time, boys

I'll be sad to see all you June guys take off because you're the main ones giving us all the info
I’ll probably stick around the forum after I get my decision until I actually go on terminal leave in order to give any info I can on the post-PEB portions of the whole process. But once that terminal starts it’s time for me to go be with my family, finally.

Was told by the VA last night that my proposed ratings were completed on October 27 and sent back to the PEB.

That means I was found unfit correct? Also how long did you wait after proposed ratings to get your case back from the PEB?

I appreciate all of you in this forum. It’s been really helpful.

VA - determines service connected disability rating

PEB - determines if referred conditions are fit/unfit (completely independent of VA rating)

Post PEB - use VA ratings for only your unfit conditions to determine DOD disability rating

Answer: having a rated conditions does not mean you were found unfit. The PEB timeline and VA proposed rating timelines are completely independent, unless the PEB finished before receiving a VA rating. At that point, the VA is suppose to expedite their process.

To add on to what Jrhattack and POG said, one reason PEBLOs and the VA seem to be hesitant to share your proposed ratings is because they don't mean anything until you're found unfit. If for some reason the PEB decides to retain you, those proposed VA ratings basically just go into the trash and you'll have to do all new C&P exams when you do actually separate, which could mean totally different ratings.

Yeah I called the VA earlier and they wouldn't even tell me my proposed ratings lol I was trying to get the breakdown of each disability but she saw in my profile that I am on the IDES and she wouldn't tell me shit.

My VA rep doesn't answer my emails ever. I'll just call the VA
I might have actually had results by now but my VA Rep sucked and didn’t tell me that I was missing a page on a document. So 6 weeks went by after my last C&P exam and I reached out to my PEBLO and she said it was still at the VA. It was fixed in 24 hours but I could have submitted to the PEB at least a few weeks earlier if he’d said something when id asked him the month earlier.

came across this while aimlessly scrolling, is it a sign? maybe, probably not but it’s worth sharing

Can I get my proposed VA ratings if I’m still in the preparation for decision phase? I’ve been stuck there since sept. 16.
