IDES Timeline

The PEB and the VA have to do a side-by-side kind of process. They work independently then come together at the end to get a general consensus on your referred conditions. The PEB (for your DOD ratings and unfit/fit) has to look at the VA's opinion of your referred conditions before they can make the final call.
So my case Is essentially at the end of the road?

Yeah. I've been seeing July and August cases so hopefully, you'll get your ratings back soon!

It sounds like yours and mine are close to the end. I think there are many groups of line officers and medical officers because there is no systematic way of the months coming back. I've seen june, july, and august come back and not in that order. They also might be speeding up with would be great for all of us waiting regardless of the month submitted.

Hey folks! hope you're all hanging in alright.

I went back to work last Tuesday, and they for some reason thought I was coming back totally FFD and were ready to drop a workload on me that same day. I had been manipulated on phone calls before returning to believe they were already working on some sort of different assignment for me and that they were looking out for my best interests (LOL). I noped the fuck out of there and with the help of my med providers was able to get a department transfer somewhere else so those assholes didn't give me a public panic attack right there on the spot. Now I work at supply and hand out pens and shit, currently waiting to hear back from PERS for separation details.

Just wanted to pop back in to say that you might be in a cruddy place now, but try your hardest to not let this organization take too much more from you. I had a senior chief (to be honest, entirely unaware of why medically I was transferring departments) absolutely REAM my asshole and try to accuse me of going UA for following my doctor/chains guidance while I waited for the transfer, and I just took that shit in their office almost laughing on the inside because as soon as I left their office with my signed slip I knew I'd never see their face again.

Things will get better gradually for you, and though it may be unclear on the 'when', one day we'll all be on the other side starting to forget the nonsense we're dealing with.

Honestly, I'm a little nervous and excited. It seems like the process is getting sped up but at the same time, I am pending genetic testing which would be like.... the main condition of why I'm getting separated but I'm just now finding out about it. Does anyone else have anything similar? Like finding out a diagnosis was wrong or something else needs to be added as like the main condition?

I know it's too late but if I find out before I get my results back would I be able to do a rebuttal saying like "hey I just found out this, and this other diagnosis was wrong, so this is my main condition as to why I can't stay in anymore".

It sounds like you and I have similar things going on but mine is I'm just now getting answers as to why I have lung, and heart issues. According to my PCM they can write and addendum to add it as an unfitting condition to appeal with. At least that is my understanding of what he said.

So quick question, so the last time I spoke with my Peblo my case was with QA. So my question is once the QA portion is done will my case be sent back to DC then released to my peblo for notification? Or does it come from the VA once QA is done to the peblo for notification?
I think it is released to the PEBLO. I am not sure, I would like some help in answering your question. I have been with the Medical officer for 150 days and my lawyer said I am on a post adjudication but the PEBLO has no idea. lol

So I called the VA for my proposed rating and had them email me my narrative summary and boy did one of my C&P Examiner screw me over. For my stomach condition he wrote resolved and I literally told him the my current symptoms. And guess what no service connection or rating while active duty. Good thing I had an amazing C&P examiner for my main refereed condition. I don’t know what to do about this. I just want to get out as soon as I can.
How did you convince them? Every person I’ve spoke with won’t send me my narrative summary or proposed rating

If you are retired, you will receive your retirement pay (your DOD % x current base pay) until your VA disability kicks in. I just signed my findings and was told this by my PEBLO.

But there will still be about a month without pay between separation/retirement date and retirement check from what I've read.
sorry been really out of it and do you mean medically retired i just found out my orders came in and im out by feb 12

Hi everyone. My medboard package was sent up in the first week of July and on that October PEB tracker, my case was at the MO level for 60 days at that time. I just got screened last week for the wounded Warriors battalion so hopefully I’ll find out later this week if I’ve been enrolled. 2021 has been a nightmare on all levels so hopefully I hear something by next month. I wish everyone on here luck!
