Being in Norfolk I’m assuming you’re navy. I’m Air Force at Langley and you can see my timeline on here as well under the Air Force case timelines thread. I’ve not seen many timelines for this area

Yes Navy. The Norfolk area is sparse on here for sure. I also am trying to figure out if I need to do a FOIA for the C&Ps to get to my PEBLO.. there is so much conflicting information.

No you don’t need a FOIA. The C&Ps are automatically sent to the VA and your MSC can grab them for you. Just ask. I have mine.

Ahh gotcha. How long from C&P until it gets to PEBLO? "Indeterminate amount of time"

The C&Ps go to the VA to support your claim you filed with your MSC. While that’s happening the MEB is doing their review to determine if you are going to go to the IPEB. Once at the IPEB they will ultimately determine if you’re fit or unfit. But more often than not if you reach the IPEB you’ll be found unfit. But you can fight that with an FPEB. All of this takes an excruciating amount of time. My case is already through the IPEB as unfit, awt proposed VA ratings now

I think my MEBAA already said I "am recommended for PEB." They wouldn't even let me start my claim process until that was done... so maybe my stuff is just out of order. This whole thing is such a black hole

I think every branch is a little different. I did mine in the beginning stages of the MEB side. Before I was ever sent to the PEB. I guess what happens is in the event you are found fit, your info is saved at the va and used later on.

So the VA rep I just called said they are "reviewing all evidence" and have what they need for the time being, and he said it explicitly hasn't been released to the PEBLO and that I should just call back on the 22nd to see if they have released it yet. Some information, albeit anticlimactic, is always preferred

When its an IDES claim the VA is very reluctant to give you any information about your claim bc even when theyre done, its still considered a "proposed" rating and not "official" until we separate thats why they are hesitant with us. theyre not supposed to give out this information due to the fact it has to flow back to the DoD, but it is aggravating bc its our case, our records we should be able to be in the know.

Well thats dumb LOL. Especially when the data is held hostage from the DoD side too... my stuff is still not released. I obviously recognize that I am being impatient for one of the least transparent processes that exists

The VA said they "closed" my claim today! Then I called and they of course said they signed proposed ratings... I will take this as light in the tunnel. Did you get to see the proposed before the PEB came back?

Would love to get updates, I'm on a similar timeline and nervous

I will make sure to post any updates! My PEBLO is really hoping I get a first pass from the IPEB before the potential gov't shutdown, so I will keep you in the loop!
I am definitely going to submitting a VARR as well, so i will make sure to post those timings too

That's awesome. My PEBLO reached out to the doc doing the NARSUM and said that she confirmed they would sign it this week, and then she'd send it to me for review/signing. I'm hoping to sign immediately and be able to route up to IPEB same day. I'm curious as to whether I will get to see everything the VA found or only see the NARSUM

Your PEBLO will send you the DBQs for everything that you claimed -- I then did the like JAG call to go over it (just for good measure, and I had to do a rebuttle for the NARSUM) and the JAG also kind of "estimated" what he thought the VA ratings & DoD ratings would be since he has seen so many. Based off that I went to my surgeon and redid one of the DBQs to use for a VARR when the documents come back in the event that it isn't at the 30%. So long story short I would recommend seeing the JAG before signing - it could help get your eggs in the same basket while you wait for IPEB.

Update: Findings came in today! We will be submitting a VARR for the DOD %age.
