Hello all. I know this process moves slowly, and the government shutdown didn’t help. I’m trying not to bug my PEBLO and trust that she’ll reach out when there’s an update, but I was curious if anyone on a similar timeline has heard anything or received results. My case was sent to the PEB on August 18, and my VA claim shows as closed on October 7.

I was found unfit on 5 January and submitted to the PEB on 17 November after the shutdown. Still awaiting ratings for DOD from PEBHello all. I asked my PEBLO if the PEB found me unfit or fit and this what she told me; As the PEBLO, I do not receive interim updates or visibility into deliberations while the PEB is adjudicating the case. I am formally notified only once the PEB has finalized its determination and released the findings. Yeah your PEBLO should tell you when you are found fit/unfit after that the PEB sends your case back to the VA once the VA finishes they will send back to the PEB and your PEBLO will get your findings. The VA was already finished when my package was sent to the PEB. She told me that the PEB was working on my DoD rating last week based on my proposed VA rating the DoD should find me unfit but she should be able to see that right?
Yeah it goes back to the VA after you are found unfit then you get findings my Va was ratings were closed and ready last October

On 1/7/2026 My Peblo reached out to me and informed me that the PEB has found me unfit, my DoD% and I am PDRL. She said I am on step 3 of 5 at the PEB. I was told she will contact me when the official findings are in, and it could take a couple of weeks. All PEBLOS should have the same access regardless of west coast vs east coast. I know this is probably bad timing but try rephrasing the question. Something closer to the lines of "im trying to coordinate timing between me leaving, house hunting, flights for my family, and I would like a narrower time frame then what I currently have so we can minimize stress. Is there a way you could view where my case is at within the peb stages via (VTA or something like that) whether that be initial review, or proposed ratings." I've realized people tend to be more willing to help if you phrase things like a favor or that they are "helping" you even if they are just doing their job. Then give them a genuine compliment they'll want to help you out more in the future.All PEBLOS should have the same access regardless of west coast vs east coast.
