Time line: hope this might be helpful

Initial notification of MEB July 3 (met with PEBLO)
13 Sept Local MEB complete
17 Sep Package sent to AFPC*


*received this message from the PEBLO:
-Estimate date of disposition from AFPC goal is: 17 JAN 13 (~120 days)

-Note - HQ APFC/DPSDD (Disability Branch) has informed us that, due to
Staffing changes and holiday downtime, they are currently (approximately)
3-4 weeks beyond their "estimated date of disposition" for PEB case
processing. Your patience/understanding is respectfully requested as they
work towards mitigating noted delays.

Please add 30 more days from 17 JAN 13 = 17 FEB 13

(((Especially during the holidays)))))
 
Wow, I hope this isn't that backed up. My package is about 2 weeks behind yours and I hope it doesn't take that long.
 
So far everything seems to be flowing smoothly.
Just spent 50 minutes on hold with the VA,and was told my package
Was transferred from Baltimore to Providence, whatever that means.
Will update as I get more information but for now it's a waiting game.
 
How irritating. I'm also at JBER. I was notified in May that I would be MEB'd and I ended up writing my commander's letter a few days after your local MEB was completed (and I work in the MDG, so my CC/shirt should have done better). I just had my C&P exam two days ago. Total crap.

Amber we at least have good PEBLO's. I just spoke with them today to check my status and it turns out ebenefits site has different dates than what the peblo sees. According to Lisa, VA just got my package Oct 24. Ebenefits says they received it Aug 7. I agree it is crap that your leadership is horrible, but hang in there and ride the awesome hurry up and wait wave.

True, we do have good PEBLO's. I'm mainly dealing with Dana and he does a great job. The wait is just frustrating.
 
I just spoke with my MSC. my proposed ratings are in! But, he won't tell me, says I have to wait for the Air Force to present them. Is this normal? I see people on here get their ratings early, what's the secret?

I called the VA everyday four day's in a row till I found the right person who would give it to me. Took a week after my ratings were received by AFPC for my 356 to get back to the PEBLO. I signed my stuff this last Monday afternoon and got my orders today (2 days). The end is near my friends.

Thanks to all for the great information. But... This hurry up an wait wave is getting old. I've going thru this process since April. My Package was sent to AFPC Sep 23, it wasn't checked into the board until Oct 11. Best wishes to all...
 
Good news and thanks for all advice. VA wouldn't talk to me nor my MSC, but found out that my PEBLO was sitting on my proposed ratings. 50 DOD/80 VA. I hope AFPC agrees. It's a temporary retirement for PTSD BTW.
 
3 July 12 notified of my MEB
13 Sept 12 Local MEB complete
17 Sep 12 Package sent to AFPC
6 Nov 12 proposed ratings from VA
15 Nov 12 received my AF Form 356 (PEB findings decision) and signed for my retirement date.

DOD 50 (PTSD/TDRL)/ VA 80

Now just waiting on Orders, It seems to me that this process went very quickly, My PEBLO said they are trying to move things along at AFPC so they won't be backlogged after holidays. So hopefully all those in the Air Force will have a decision soon.
 
Congrats man, that seemed to go pretty quick! Are you on a fast track or was your case expedited for some reason? Which office did your VA ratings go through?
 
Was not fast tracked or expedited. My package got moved from Baltimore to Provedence.
