yeah, crazy turn around time. When I called they said the C&P information reached them before the disposition decision did. So once the Fit/Unfit came in, it only took 4 days.

Does anyone know how long it typically takes the VA to process a rating reconsideration and give a new rating? The VA attorney will submit my package today and was estimating roughly 3 weeks. Has anyone gone through this process recently?

This may be a conversation you'll have to schedule with your commander, so they understand your goals. Make sure you have all your ducks in order before you call their secretary to schedule an appointment with them (timelines, regs, etc.).

Depending on the reason why the MEB was recommended, you may be able to voice your concerns to your leadership. Your DAF Form 1185 is what your commander recommends, and you can explain why you don't think a MEB is necessary. That may be all you need to cancel it, or at the very least delay the...
