Navy ratings

Every Veteran check your MEB or PEB very carefully. Keep copies. The PACt Act of 2022 is very interesting and important.

Just got my DoD findings. DoD 30% PDRL I already had my proposed VA but again they are 100% P&T.

Most people would probably be more than happy with these ratings but the PEB said my Migraines weren’t found as unfitting and I know the VA is completely different but they gave me 50%.

I lost consciousness in combat due to an RPG explosion and attempted to get my PTSD/mental health added to my refereed conditions but that didn’t happen and so now when I see this that they say my migraines aren’t unfitting nor combat related it’s upsetting. I’m going to get with my legal counsel for guidance.

Congrats, I have been seeing your posts and I think you're also Navy and Hawaii. Hoping my timeline doesn't take too long and that I get good news like you do. You can at least rest easy knowing that the big anxiety waiting game is over, even though they didn't rate your migraines the way you think they should have. I hope you can get the migraines tied to service connection (just learning about the PACT act so maybe that's a method to do so?).

Did they also give you a soft eos? I keep hearing that along with dod & Va ratings they also give you a proposed detachment date

I am in Portsmouth, VA lol my migraines are already service connected they just determined that they don’t interfere with my day to day job which is false. I am requesting to do a Formal board now.

Aw shit lol I mixed you up with a different thread I follow. Yeah I can't believe what they come back with sometimes at the ipeb, I really hope they make it right with a formal.

No worries! I dont see why they wouldn’t make it right!

Im just curious but if you hit the 30% which is retired and 100% P&T VA why do a formal? Isn’t that theoretically everyone’s target result and it’s PTDRL? Just seems like you’d be extending your time to the end by a lot for an increase that gives you the same result.

Yes correct it is everyone’s target. However, there is an act called the Major Richard Star Act that if it ever passes (been trying for a while) would increase my monthly payments due to my migraines being a direct result from a combat injury. Essentially a higher DoD percentage would equal a higher “pension” for me. My attorney said the FPEBS aren’t taking a long time like they used to take and that it will only extend my time by about a month or so.

Ahhh I got ya. Sorry if that came off condescending, wanted to make sure if I should be requesting a formal depending on my % to add migraines as well

Na you good not a lot of people know about the Richard Star act and who knows if it will ever be passed.

Can I get some insight on my situation if anyone can help understand when I'll get my finding back from PEB?
My PEB was sent up 25feb 2026, when should I expect something back
I was already given 100% VA

She told me I was found 100% when I was found unfit on 18Jan. Last week I got a call that the PEB had a question about one of my ratings. So I think it is finally being looked at. But that’s about it. Hoping this week is it.

Oh okay that makes sense , with my case I'm trying to see if the PEB will take into consideration one of my ratings we were fighting to get added in the package besides my initial referral. Instead of them just rating me based off of my one thing, because my MEBA didn't want to add it to additional findings
