I was injured on ADT ... I went to sick call multiple times. DA 2173s (LODs) signed and in hand as well.
Back
Feet
Knees
Lumbar Spine MRI confirmed disc bulging and radiculopathy
Bilateral Knee MRI confirmed a small tear of the meniscus, Patellofemoral pain syndrome, patellar subluxation, and patellar instability, among other things.
Feet X-Rays confirmed Grade 4 fractures in both feet, severe bilateral pes planus, and severe hallux valgus with a recommendation for Lapidus Bunionectomy with Akin Osteotomy.
The podiatrist indicated on the DA 7809 (Summary of Care) that I am permanently contraindicated from ACFT and explained that the surgery will not address the pes planus (flatfoot).
The spine provider said the same; no surgery recommended just PT, but also said that I am permanently contraindicated from most of the ACFT (SDC, MDL, 2MR) because PT will help with ROM, but not cure the bulging. Same with the knees.
QUESTION: AR-MMC denied the P3; they want to see what PT is going to do, including surgery and recovery for the foot. Is this normal? My doctors are basically telling me that my military career is done; my body is telling me the same.
