If I was able to answer that question with any clarity, I would be a millionaire. Unfortunately there are tons of factors that play into it, all of which are out of your control. You really only have two avenues to get information at this point in your journey. Your PEBLO or from the VA DRAS team in Providence.

Your PEBLO can log into a system and see if there is any "activity" but as they will tell you, that activity has to be updated by the VA people and they are so busy that they don't often even update that stuff. To their credit, they are more concerned with getting it out the door than updating systems.

The VA DRAS # is 1-401-223-3700, but again, set your expectations. The absolute best case scenario is they will tell you they received the case and a case manager is actively working it.

The process moSoldier67 will be nerve wracking; at this stage in the game, just be patient, "expect for the worse; hope for the best". Don't get your hopes to high. In the NV ARNG, and have been studying the process, and learning from the subject matter experts, like Guardguy11; wealth of information here.

I got my 20 year letter 5 years ago...hoping for the best.

Checked ebenefits tonight. I was approved unfit by the PEB for left knee, right foot and depression. After looking on ebenefits...I saw that I now have a rating for 10% left knee, 10% right foot and 70% depression. They said I will get a letter in the mail. Will these be my final DOD ratings? If so...I am good with it. Then....how long before my VA ratings are final?

Congrats on finally making it through! Based on those numbers, your DOD should be 80%. Your VA ratings will be at least 80% but potentially higher if you claimed other things with them that were not a part of the unfitting conditions.

mosoldier67; congratulations; don't want to still your thunder brother; but, "expect for the worst, hope for the best" with DOD rating; I've seen 100% rating on VA and decreases to 40% DOD; you may have a good chance, but wouldn't capitalize on it. All the best!

Thanks for the kind words and encouragement. I am good with all of it as long as I hit 30% on the DOD. Again...I have 25 good years in the service (20 year letter in hand)...four of those active duty...so...hopefully I can finally have my life back soon!

Got my rating..80% PEB/DOD findings. I am very happy

I got my DA199 in hand and am ready to sign it. Any advice out there? How long before I am separated? Legal has looked at my 199...ready to get the ball rolling!
