    How much longer?

If they start just hang up. Or press them, really depends on what you think you can get out of it. When I was dealing with getting updates I would just hang up anytime I heard a script: doubt it hurts their feelings and saves their breath.

    How much longer?

They're supposed to only read you the script annoyingly enough: anything else is courtesy or potentially risking their job by sending you files. I'm almost certain that the lady that sent me files that expressly stated that it's not meant to be sent to the servicemember and it's for the rater's...

Texas benefits for a post medboard veteran

I'll give it a go. The denial reasoning was stated as I voluntarily withdrew, should make for an interesting set of phone calls.

Texas benefits for a post medboard veteran

That's the crazy part! They said ANY "third party" form is null and void to them... I could get a letter from the Commander in Chief and it'd be toilet paper to them.

Texas benefits for a post medboard veteran

Hey guys, People seem to have liked my post on VR&E, on the chance that any of you are Texans listed on your home of record there are some pretty nutty benefits that my post service buddies are pretty shocked at that I'd like to share with you guys. If Texas is your home of record, or you're...

Wanted to let y'all know: If you retire and you give TRICARE Prime a shot and don't like it, you can switch to Select and have it backdated to your date of retirement so long as it's in that window of eligibility. I believe the window is 90 days. I had a try before you buy type experience with...

    ADSEP Dual processing USMC

If it were me I'd attend whatever needs attending right away - the issue at hand won't disappear by dragging it out. AFAIK the CG is gonna be the ultimate decision maker about your discharge now, I'd avoid any reason to display defiance. I could be wrong though. Not sure if your legal rep for...

How to maximize VR&E benefits as a SM in a medboard: my experience so far.

I'm not sure on the specifics - but it's variable on your location presuming you're not doing solely online school. The Austin, TX rate is 2300 a month. If that translates to a single E-5, sounds good to me.

    AF Narsum wait time

Generic, non-branch specific advice would be to route it up your chain of command. A tactful 3 tries is what I give until I get my leadership involved to be as tactful as they can afford to be. All of my board issues magically got solved when my OIC got involved in my issues with my PCM.

    VA rated 0% for MDD

Even though it's never fun to learn you'll be in the pit for longer, just know that the outside appeal process is much worse. Getting this squared away now is the way to go. Wishing the best

    Home Awaiting Orders

I'm not spun up on it, but here's my advice: You're at the very tail end of it all. Even if there was a program to do it remote, I recommend being there up until you have your 214 from RPAC and your sep/retirement orders in hand. I had 6 errors on my 214 and seps orders, from incorrect per...

Conditions (Specifically BACK (THORACOLUMBAR SPINE) CONDITIONS DISABILITY BENEFITS QUESTIONNAIRE)

It's frustrating because when things are favorable, you're told to essentially kick back and feel confident. When things aren't favorable you're told hey just wait out. I know it's frustrating and I'm not blind to the annoying nature of it all, but I only parrot this because it's true. There's...

Conditions (Specifically BACK (THORACOLUMBAR SPINE) CONDITIONS DISABILITY BENEFITS QUESTIONNAIRE)

I'd assume you're already diagnosed with some sort of pain condition if not already diagnosed with DDD - that's one part of the equation whether the examiner decided to diagnose you or not, if the diagnosis already existed I'd venture to guess it might be inconsequential. Were your range of...

    Medboard Timeline (Walter Reed)

You're able to see the claim at the latest when the VA finalized their decision for a proposal. Some people have reported seeing their claim the entire medboard process, others have seen it at PEB submission, I honestly don't know. People have unanimously reported (from what I've seen) the claim...

    Medboard Timeline (Walter Reed)

That's a great question lol. My claim populated as complete the moment I could ever see it if you're talking about initial ratings proposals - I never saw the internals of that. I can however say that from submission to the PEB to ratings proposals it took two months. Whether that remains to be...

    Medboard Timeline (Walter Reed)

Pretty weird that the PEB outpaced the VA but not impossible. Did you have any deferred conditions? Should reach out to your contractor (VES, QTC, etc.) and see what's up if it's held up on their end or if the contractor already pushed all the exams forward.

    Navy Timeline-NMC Portsmouth

He let us know a while ago that he was proposed for 100% P&T. Correct me if I'm wrong @OrdieChief but I believe he means the VA disbursed his official rating as an award yesterday effective to his retirement date. All this means is he's retired, and now rates any backpay from his retirement date...
