Office of Disability Counsel Client Intake Form

When I say through my legal brief the counsel that was briefing our group recommended everyone to go IDES!!! I would say that’s what over 90 percent of the folks on here deal with it are enrolled in IDES.

    Found Fit and separating

I don’t believe the VA looks at your NARSUM. VA should just be going off of all your C&P exams. The NARSUM is just a detailed summary of what is going on with you, I.E. your diagnosis you have and how it came about and what all is going on with you and how affects your performance. Hopefully...

    Commanders Impact Statement

I can you send a copy of my personal impact statement if you would like!?!?! I am active duty navy. I know we are different branches but it may give you perspective or you might see something on mine that may help. Feel free to shoot me a PM with your email and I will email you mine! All the...

    New guy, waiting on MEB

I agree 100 percent with the timelines! When first starting this process, I would always look at timelines and go from there! I was completely wrong! Looking at timelines are good to get a sense of how someone’s board is going. For example my last VA exam was January 2nd. Although I can see my...

Professional opinions welcome. What are my chances of finally getting insomnia added?

I have not done a FPEB. My local MEB just finished up and was sent to the PEB 11MAR24. I don't know much about that process. To my understanding, I believe you go in person and lay eyes on the board to fight for yourself.

Navy PEB sending Case back to VA for Clarification

to my knowledge and understanding, I do not think there is anything you can do? I believe once it gets to the PEB everything is out of your hands until your findings come back. It sounds like you are on the tail end of your PEB and hopefully will be getting notification from your PEBLO soon. You...

Professional opinions welcome. What are my chances of finally getting insomnia added?

Have you tried asking your attorney/counsel? Hopefully that was provided to you at the beginning. I am on the East Coast/Hampton Roads Areas and have an attorney up at the hospital. I would ask that question to he/she? As far as an appeal, I am to the understanding that you can appeal if you...

MH C&P exam…referred condition may have been misdiagnosed.

When you say she? is this your provider who referred you to the MEB? I am assuming this person has looked over your C&P is what you are referring to?

    New guy, waiting on MEB

What is PSC? I am Active Duty Navy. I would reach out to your PEBLO or whoever is helped you with the first potion of your MEB. The tough part you're in, is going off a timeline. I myself was always trying to look at other people's timelines and try to guess where I may be/fall in. The...

    NARSUM

I believe it’s a 50/50… 70 percent off jump is pretty good. But you’re not going to know what your actual percent will be until your findings from the PEB comeback. To my understanding, its going to depend on who is rating your C&P exam up at the VA.

MH C&P exam…referred condition may have been misdiagnosed.

First off I am sorry to hear about your loss and all the pain/suffering you’re going through. I can understand and sympathize with and for you. I myself have gone through it on the mental health side and have a diagnosis for PTSD. I also just wrapped up my MEDBOARD and my case was just sent up...

    Forgotten?

Glad to hear that you got some kind of answer. I know it’s not the best answer but it’s something. I had to wait close to two months for my VA exams to be released back to my PEBLO. Once that happens, hopefully it will start moving quicker. Happy to give any words of encouragement because at...

    Forgotten?

Salty, I completely understand! I truly do, I felt this way about a month ago. I had sent my PEBLO an email asking for an update. Almost 3 weeks had passed and no response. Im sitting here thinking what in the actual ***** is going on. All I’m asking is for an update!!!! Common courtesy would...

    Forgotten?

Salty, If you feel like you have been completely forgotten, you’re done and want to go home then maybe head up to the MEDBOARD office and don’t leave until you have gotten an answer. I.E. I want to speak to my PEBLO, I want to speak to my MSC etc

    IRILO returned to duty question

I’m not sure what branch you are?? But yeah I’m pretty dang sure you can appeal.. On the Navy side at least we can. My NARSUM and NMA was just complete last week. At that point your PEBLO should send it to you. At that point, you read it and go through it with a fine tooth and comb. I made an...

    Forgotten?

@Salty The one thing I have learned from this process is everyone’s TIMELINE is so so so different!!! The timeline is a good ETA to kind of see how yours might move along but I gave up on it.. My general rule of thumb from my research and what my PEBLO gave me was that the first part of my...
