My Timeline - Currently Waiting on VA for Ratings

They have to be set up for CUI traffic. There was a NAVADMIN.... I'll see if I can find it when I go to work tomorrow.

My Timeline - Currently Waiting on VA for Ratings

Yep. Because they didn't have their message traffic set up properly.

    Received proposed ratings. What now?

They're dead wrong. Advice from the TSC COC is actually to start your paperwork early. You don't need to know your percentage to start getting your paperwork in order.

    CRSC vs CRDP

Maybe that's where I am confused. I thought CRSC was Combat Related Special Compensation. Is there another CRSC I'm not tracking on? I looked back on the DFAS CRSC page. There is a statement that CRSC beneficiaries must "waive VA pay from retired pay." Is that the clause that I am missing? Is...

Yeah. That's an excuse to get out of doing work. You can Google this. It's not a HIPAA violation to give someone your own medical information for a purpose that you authorize

And, are you sure your Admin doesn't have the message? Many, many commands not doing right by their Sailors on this topic. Judging by the discussions here and elsewhere, it is in your best interest to be the squeaky wheel.

    USMC Reserves, Injured with LOD

I can't speak to regs or USMC orders. But as a Reservist, you get to move drills around, right? So my best guess is you can move drills around now, too - what are they gonna do, kick you out? But at the same time, there will be paperwork that they need you to do and processes they need you to...

Tell your admin they're f&$#in' retarded and then go get the Chief. There's no HIPAA if you are voluntarily releasing the information so they can do their goddamn@#&ed job. God, I hate incompetent admin shops.

DoD 70%/ VA 90% When is compensation permanent

Yes. VA compensation is not directly linked to or affected by DOD processes.

    USMC Reserves, Injured with LOD

You mean like, in between the time you get your findings and the time you are actually separated? That should be between you and your Reserve unit, depending on how much they need you to do for your processing.
  15. P

    Received proposed ratings. What now?

Once VA is done and it goes back to PEB, I think most people are reporting 2-4 weeks for PEB to do the admin and send to NPC. 6 wks on the outside. From there your separation authorization message only takes a couple days, and the action is over to you to submit your package to TSC Norfolk...

    CRSC vs CRDP

@RonG I did not know that. What's the reasoning behind that, do you know? Why should a member who reached 20 years and was disabled due to an instrument of war have to choose between the two compensations when they earned both? Genuinely curious, not arguing. I can't believe I didn't know this.

    CRSC vs CRDP

I was not aware that the two programs are mutually exclusive. Why would they be?

Where am I at in the IDES?

Have you looked in the AF DES manual? Probably a good place to start. I believe that's AFI 36-3212.
