Got my ratings and I signed my 199 on Wednesday last week. I put up a fuss to my battalion surgeon and lo and behold after he talked to to the PEB my ratings came in.

I’m sorry to hear you’ve been waiting that long. I’m in the SRU, I’ve heard that sometimes speeds the process up but I have no clue if that’s valid. I hope you get your 199 soon.

I don’t have the exact dates but my MEB started in early June. Signed NARSUM August 15th. Claims Closed on the VA website October 5th. Received ratings and signed my 199 today Nov 27.

Ok I have a legitimate job offer but I’m told my commander needs to sign off on it (expedite memo) before my PEBLO can do anything with it and that it only works for a formal board. I guess I gotta talk to my PEBLOs boss.

What did the expedite letter entail? Could you send me an example? Who has to sign it? I’ve been told conflicting things and have a legitimate job offer I do not want to lose.

Good to this is me to a tee. I have to start the job by January first or I’m shit out of luck. It seems less and less likely everyday that passes with no info.

Wow this is almost my exact timeline up to the PEB votes. My PEBLO won’t disclose how that part is going she is only telling me “we are waiting on a PEB signature” which I hope means it’s almost over!

So, I was told by leadership that due to being in the SRU that ALL med boards are given an expedited memo off the bat. The PEBLO told me that I cannot get an expedited memo unless I’m in a formal board. So I have no clue. Lol.

glad to hear this is over for you. I have a very similar timeline and am hoping to get ratings back any day now… my claim closed on the VA app on Oct 5 and then required a medical opinion appointment closed and uploaded on 28th of Oct. I was told that won’t slow the PEB down but, still nothing.
