Like the title states. I was retired from the military in 2014. I started out at 80% with 4 years and 7 months of service with a deployment to Afghanistan in 2010 where I was injured and got 2 Purple Hearts and my injuries. I was medically retired. For years I downplayed my issues until I was hospitalized for my issues stemming from that deployment. I resubmitted my file to the VA and was given 100% P&T. All injuries SC. Now that I have done that I was looking to file for CRSC. It was long and draining time to deal with the VA but I did it on my own with the process taking about a year and a half. My question now is… will CRSC be worth it?

I know it will be easier since I was finally able to get all of my medical records but just having to sign and submit stuff gives my serious anxiety and killer migraines. I guess I looking for a pep talk or for someone to tell me don’t bother. I tried to tell my wife but she thinks I am wasting time since it took a toll on my physical and mental health talking to the people at the VA who seemed to actively work against me. Not to mention the appointments with reviewers that made me feel like a loser or that I was not that bad off. I powered through because “fuck those guys I got the medals and paperwork to prove it!”

Anyways, I took a step back to re center myself a push again but I am weary about digging up this stuff again. If anyone has any insight or words of wisdom I would love to hear it. If someone is willing to look at my stuff as well.. that would be even better. I was 68w(medic) and I use to tell my guys to keep on fighting and doc will take care of ya… but I guess doc needs some help as well. Thank you.

I say fight it bud

It seem like your case is a slam dunk. no?

I get you on all this duplicative redundant nonsense that triggers, and the idiots

I mean it should be a very simple arithmetic problem. 1 you did the job 2 you got injured 3 give me a formulation of benefits that will give me the best ability to get better

I still can not believe the DOD is Seperate from the VA and CRSC is separate from all that. It seems on purpose to confuse and leave people behind

I mean they knew your blood type and a lot more information when you joined.

Now they have a hard time, figuring out where you served, the details of that, and the injury as it relates to a COSC definition.

By the way the COSC definition is really simple.

From what you said you qualify
