I signed my findings and were submitted April 10th It was sent to PERS/indexed April 19th. As of now, I still do not have a date or any information. Tomorrow will make 6 weeks with PERS.
I have been checking every source I can for updates. NSIPS, MNA, OMPF, ETJ, EVERYTHING. I know this was somewhat of a lost cause, but doesn't hurt to look.
My current SEAOS is 30JUN2024. My concern is going past my separation date and my pay getting messed up. I discussed this with my command last month and they said not to worry about it. Brought it up again and they had me sign a letter to retain in service pending separation date. The letter has not been submitted yet.
I have been discussing my concerns with my command but not really getting anywhere. MNA updated this week to show past separation date with no DD-214 on record. I showed that to my command and they told me to ignore it and just be patient. I know this process can be tedious and requires a lot of patience. However, 6 weeks seems like a long time to get a separation date. I submitted a case through MNCC and they just confirmed my current SEAOS is 30JUN. So that got me no where.
I am getting very frustrated at this point. Is 6 weeks a long time to be waiting for message traffic for a separation date? Is there anything else I can do to get an update or see if something was lost? (My command has been notorious for missing message traffic and sailors finding out they're separating days before. So my trust is somewhat limited).
