March 15: Received e-mail from PEBLO that IRILO process has started
March 17: Initial MEB briefing
March 29: NARSUM signed by PCM
April 13: CIS signed (Do Not Retain)
April 14: referred to AMRO board for full MEB
April 21: received update from PEBLO that my case is sitting with AFPC
May 16: Received full MEB notice from AFRC
June 3: Referred to IDES
June 6 - 16th: VA exams complete
July 19: Signed form 618 and referred to IPEB

My PEBLO was saying I should be hearing something this month going off of how everybody else's case timelines have been going. I'll try to update this when I hear anything else or if I can remember any other details.

Is it normal for the NARSUM to be completed so early in the process? I thought the NARSUM and commanders statements came after VA exams?

Also, are any of your injuries combat related? If so, has that been indicated anywhere for you?

From my understanding, the NARSUM/CC Impact is one of the first steps after the code 37 is triggered and is needed for IRILO to determine if they’re going to send you for the full MEB/IPEB. Once you’re out into IDES, VA exams should then be scheduled once you start your claims with MSC.

The NARSUM was one of the first things that I had completed. My case may have been a little different though because I already had my PCM start writing it before I was officially put on a code 37 because we discussed it previously and both knew that this was the route that I was going to take. Like jt987 said it will be done before you get any of your VA exams scheduled.

None of my injuries are combat related, but if I remember correctly once you have the sit down to go over everything you will be claiming you can put in if it was combat related. Just don't quote me on that it feels like all this was done so long ago for me.

Nov 17: Notified by PEBLO that my case was put on hold pending additional information. Re-signed DD Form 618 and submitted to PEBLO.

Just a bit annoying that I had to reach out to the VA to be told that they were waiting on something from the Air Force before they could finalize my ratings. Magically I had a reply from my PEBLO that I had a new 618 to sign this morning.
