Am I just being anxious for no reason

Got an update from PEBLO stating that preliminary findings were given that I am unfit to continue service (something I already knew), but he stated I wouldn't receive official findings for another 3-4 weeks. Something doesn't seem right with it though, as it seems that these timelines that we are seeing don't match up with such a long delay between proposed ratings and official findings.

Any insights from anyone? Apparently I'm in the Post-VA stage and have been for 49 days. I'm not even really sure what that means. lol
At this point all I can do is shake my head at this entire process

My PEB was submitted on 28AUG23 and VA findings came in on 02OCT23 and still nothing to this day.
I really am just dumbfounded with the lack of accountability that this process is fraught with. If myself or one of my sailors missed timelines like the PEB does we would be NJP'ed in a heartbeat. My outrage doesn't change anything though, so really kind of just sharing because I know others have got to feel the same. No one is alone in this.

This QA portion you all have been discussing, when does that start? I am trying to gather all the information about it from other forum members but it has me confused.

The QA phase happens after your VA claim closes. You should be looking at VA results about a monthish after you get accepted by the PEB. The 45 day estimation for the QA phase starts after that. Have you seen if your VA claim has closed?

Yes, my VA proposed ratings were sent to the board on December 14th and my claim was closed on December 20th.

That's awesome. I went to the PEB on like 12Sept, and was told by the PEB phone number that I should expect findings within the next week to week and a half if that. Really happy for you!

If you can, please let me know how long it takes for you to get your new EAS and separation orders. That is the next step that I have been trying to learn about.
Findings accepted: Jan 8
Command received message to retire: Jan 16
EAS: March 15.

I just got a call from my PEBLO. Findings are in!!!

He said he was going to send them over to me, but went over them with me on the phone. Sounds like I got 50% DOD/100% VA PDRL.

Waiting for the email, and going to discuss whatever it says with the IDES attorney, but expect to be accepting them pretty easily.

Congrats! When did you get your VA rating in Oct right?

My app said closed on Nov 2nd, and I got the proposed from them then.

Awesome! So how many days did you spend in QA total?

So that seems to be the mark - 57 days. Wonder if anyone has QA time significantly shorter than that…

I can assure you my unit was never late on a suspense. These processes need more accountability. I was the rare bird that wanted things slow, made it to 35 of 36 months for maxed out High 3.

Today has been an eventful day. PEBLO let me know that my case has been with the IPEB Presiding Officer for 2 days. I checked my VA app to find out that it was showing my claim as closed with an IDES Benefits Estimate Letter. I called VA and they sent me the proposed ratings. HUGE Weight off of my chest.

For folks that are past this point, how long have you seen from this point onto out of service? Any estimates would be greatly appreciated!
What number did u call?

What number did u call?
The number for the Navy/Marine Corp PEB is 571-442-0592.

I always seemed to have the best luck at catching them right at 0900 EST.

I just checked on my medical board, the guy on the phone said they’re voting on my case. How long could that take. He said no time frame.

What was your timeline after receiving findings? What happens after you sign findings and return to PEBLO?
This is my timeline now. I'm still waiting for my DD214, but I just checked out of my command yesterday and begin terminal tonight at 1801.

As far as what happens after you approve your findings, your command will get a message to request orders, from there you will get orders for you to separate or retire. There will be a few forms that you have to fill out for your DD214 out processing, and you will check out and separate or retire.
