Talked to my MSC. VA rated my condition at 10% x 4 for each limb. Will the DoD add my percentages together to equal 40% or just 10%? Trying to decipher what my DoD Rating may be? My MSC hasnt had a condition with 4 affected limbs go to IDES before as referred condition.
DOD must follow VA ratings and math by law. So whatever your unfitting conditions are plug them into the VA calculator based on the VA rating and that will be your DOD%.

Should be 40% total. I don't see how the condition could be separated by limb between fit and unfit though I suppose that would be possible. What does your NARSUM say?
“a partial disability results from disease or injury of both arms, or of both legs, or of paired skeletal muscles, the ratings for the disabilities of the right and left sides will be combined as usual, and 10% of this value will be added before proceeding with further combinations.”
There is a bilateral factor involved as well.
DoD doesn't do VA math. 10+10+10+10=40 However, it depends on how the DoD looks at your referred condition. I was referred for a TBI w/migraines and they only took the Migraine rating.

Not necessarily. Talked to my MSC. If the DoD also gives me 10% and the VA gave me 10% I do not have to pay anything back. Also I am 100% P&T so I get Champ VA.
