I've been monitoring forums here for a couple months, so thought I would post a timeline of my own.

Legal Brief: Aug 19
VA Claim begins: Aug 23
VA Initial review: Aug 24
VA Evidence gathering, review, and decision: Sep 16
QTC exams submissions: Oct 5 (completed approximately a month before final submission by doctors)
Signed board docs for PEB submission: Oct 14
Submitted to PEB: Oct 19
Received by PEB: Oct 20

I have only one referred condition and it seems pretty cut and dry. Personal history of Traumatic Brain Injury without ability to differentiate symptoms from PTSD (which should be rated at 70%). Does anyone have experience with VA ratings for TBI? It will be rated below 30% DOD threshold for retirement if PTSD is not rated with TBI. For fitness determinations, will the PTSD C&P exam be taken into consideration by the PEB? NARSUM is supportive of my intent to leave the military. I understand that I may not receive my initial findings until April, but I have a current job offer and have begun grad school and an internship to kill some time until my findings are received.

Have any of you had any success with requesting case to be expedited considering current job offer? My PEBLO has been infuriating and pretty unsupportive.

My PEBLO's response when I ask about the status of my case: "I don’t monitor daily movements or decisions made at the PEB nor do I want to. I would never get any work done or have any Peace in my work and personal life." Her name is Stacey Humphrey out of Camp Lejeune. I only reach out to her every month or so, which I consider more than appropriate.

Do I have any fellow Marines with a similar timeline? If so, what have you heard?

I’ve been on the board for TBI with migraines light sensitivity and all that. Mine was excepted to the MEB in July. And still have not heard anything

Right by yall from New river, board gets ran through lejeune so same timelines more or less. Got my findings Jan 4th 2022 signed off on the the day after, January 5th. Submitted to the peb July 13th and accepted August 8th more or less. Waiting on my new EAS to update.

So the entire PEB process was about 5 months? I'm glad to hear yours is back. How is the new EAS calculated?

My whole board started back in February of 2021, but yeah my peb total was just under 6 months, barely though. From my understanding they will account for the 20 days of PTAD and any leave currently owned and that will be Earned. I am still waiting on my new eas, but hey at least im done with ciff

Do you think the nature of a TBI is so complex that they spend more time on those cases?

Found out I'm 100% on va side today. No fitness determination has been made on dod side though.

Hey I have stacey Humphrey to. My timelines:
Submitted to board July 22
Peb accepted Nov 10 via mol message
Va proposed percentage 1 March

Currently waiting on dod and then should be notified soon. Called legal advisor last week she said “after using my social to lookup my case I should have findings before the month is over”. Does this sound right??

Not OP, but once eBenefits closed my claim and said they sent a letter, I called and asked them to email it to me.
Ok yeah I spoke to them yesterday via phone call and they read my file and notes section explaining I’m proposed at 100%. Just waiting for dod to take the conditions I’m on peb for to give me either retired or separated

how do you know when your PEB was accepted via MOL? I keep looking in the area I was told and all that's there is "pregnant "

Go to the BIR section. It will show somewhere in the duty status section.

How did you find out from that your 100%. My PEBLO hasn’t been supportive
You MSC is capable of viewing your rating. It's hard to get them to tell you though.

Your guess is as good as mine. I get more info from this forum than her.
