Does SSDI affect TFL? I’m not sure how this works if approved for SSDI? Is my wife still covered? Looking for some clarification on this before I submit an application. Thanks.

Is there any major difference to care options or annual cost? Curious about SSDI stuff but won't be able to apply until VA finalizes their stuff post sep.You good. My wife is on medicare and TFL. The rest of our family is tricare select.
Once approved for SSDI and eligible for Medicare you are automatically switched from Tricare Prime or Select to TFL. The rest of your family can stay on the other 2 main plans.
If you are on Medicare and TFL there is no out of pocket as long as you go to providers that accept both medicare and tricare. So it really has no affects on cost other than the medicare charge deducted from your SSDI. You really don't have a choice about that. You aren't allowed to have tricare if you decline medicare when eligible. Is there any major difference to care options or annual cost? There isn't anything to know or really worry about from an insurance standpoint. Is there any major difference to care options or annual cost? Curious about SSDI stuff but won't be able to apply until VA finalizes their stuff post sep.
