Final move?

When I am finally Medically retired I plan to move to overseas with my Wife. (Currently state side). I just called DMO and they said I cannot do anything for the move process unless I have orders? I told him I wont have orders and I need to start this asap to plan, but he kept saying I need orders.

Does anyone have any resources or a over view how your final move works? Do I need to wait until I receive my DD214 to be able to move?

You have to have orders to start the move application, one of the first few entries on the application is your orders number.

From what I've seen on here, you will receive your retirement orders and have approximately a two month window before you retirement date.
