I finally received my ratings on 24MAR! 90%DOD/100%VA. My PEBLO requested a DOS same day but I would like to know from any of you who have begun or finished outprocessing how aggressive of a final out date are you allowed to request. I have a job lined up and I'd really like to begin in mid May if possible but it just depends on how quickly I can outprocess if I were to receive my DOS / orders by 08APR.

It really depends on how long everyone else takes to outprocess you. If everything went smooth and you got everything signed and returned without any issues technically you could put process in a few days.
From the time I signed to my first day of permissive was a little over 45 days.
Ohh I totally misread that. I was thinking how long it took to actually out process and all that. I think it also depends if you’re planning on taking any terminal etc.
I might be a one off case but had my ratings on 9 Mar 22 and orders by 11 Mar 22. My final out is 1 Apr 22 but that’s only because of TMO. Could’ve out processed in a week easily but the biggest pain in the ass is getting in contact with everyone you need to see and having them sign you off in vMPF.
Does anybody know at what point during outprocessing that you choose to accept the VA's money over the DOD's money? Is it when you outprocess through finance or is it at some other point?
At what point during outprocessing did you accept the VA's money over the DOD's? I concurred with my ratings with the PEBLO but she said that's not when you actually accept their money and that it happens during outprocessing at some point.
I was wondering the same thing, already out-processed finance and leave in 2 days, never signed or saw anything regarding this.
That worries me. I'm gonna talk to Finance and my VA rep again about this. I know once you get your DD214 you're supposed to give it to the VA so maybe that's how they know to give you their pot of money instead but I can't get a firm answer from anybody.
Are you fully outprocessed now? If so, when did you accept the VA money over the DOD money? I'm not able to get an answer on when that is supposed to be.
