13 AUG 24: MEB Initiated, attended Initiated IDES brief
19 AUG 24: Initial appointment with PEBLO- MEB paused due to pregnancy; would resume after delivery of baby (due in January 2025. FYSA; if you want to get out and you are pregnant, you do NOT need to disclose this information if it is early enough on... but i think if it's in your medical records already, they may pause your case). This was a hard pill to swallow for me, because I really wanted to get out.
16 JAN 25: Deliver baby. Was advised to contact PEBLO after maternity leave, and so i did. I didnt have childcare and could not complete my exams/necessary MEB duties with such a fresh baby + recovering from birth. Glad i waited.
27 MAY 25: Return to work, contact PEBLO
29 MAY 25: Came down with orders to PCS to a school...
03 JUN 25: MEB notification re-initiated, school orders deferred.
16 JUN 25: P3 re-initiated (it was removed since my MEB was paused, PCM/ provider had to add it again).
30 JUN 25 - 11 JUL 25: Summer leave (I had use or lose)
14 JUL 25: In-Offfice minor surgical procedure. Was in contact with PEBLO, but wasn't sure how I would be feeling, so she and I didn't want to make any appointments for the week after the procedure.
18 JUL 25: First call with MSC
23 JUL 25: VA Phone call (~60 min) to go over every single item I'm claiming. I think i claimed 19.
24 JUL 25: Schedule VA exams
05 AUG 25: Final VA exam completed
15 AUG 25: Received NARSUM, some information/documents missing...PEBLO didn't submit my off post provider documents...not sure why. This caused about 1 month delay, smh... NARSUM had to be amended, i ended up getting a secondary "unfit" P3 condition based on the additional documents the PEBLO didn't upload.
22 AUG 25: Review revised NARSUM
26 AUG 25: Discuss & review new NARSUM with Legal
05 SEP 25: Appeal approved by some MEB Doctor and secondary P3 condition added to PULHES score
11 SEP 25: Waiting on secondary signature on NARSUM appeal approval
15 SEP 25: NARSUM completed, signed, sent up
18 SEP 25: Case forwarded to PEB for processing , estimated 60 day wait
14 OCT 25: Another actual surgery. Had a hemorrhoidectomy, for those curious (thanks, childbirth.). Timing was good with the govt shutdown...lol
31 OCT 25: PEBLO tells me I have my VA ratings; 90%. Waiting on DOD... thanks to the BIGGEST GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN IN HISTORY, cases were moving along, but very slowly. Before shutdown, turnaround time was 30 days...
21 NOV 25: Ratings recieved; 90%VA/60% DOD Permanent. Very grateful. Figured as long as i was over 30% DOD i was happy, and I can work on getting 100% once I got out, especially since I had more issues and surgeries since MEB started that weren't included in my claims., SO I accepted, and my case continues.
25 NOV 25: Exit interview with MSC
02 DEC 25: Placed on TRANSPROC
15 DEC 25: FINALLY Got my orders. Not sure what on Earth took transitions so long. If your base doesn't automatically give you orders-- you need to "harass" transitions. I went every single day. They said "we have 7 business days to process". Well. They took 9. And now I'm scrambling to outprocess. Thank goodness i was able to turn my gear in and clear CIF with the commanders memo last week since i didnt have orders. Racing the clock with HBL approaching
23 DEC 25: Final out
25 DEC 25: First day of terminal leave
25 FEB 26: First day of retirement

This process was very agonizing for me !!! But I'm happy it is finally coming to an end. A little disheartening at the end of my time & how poorly I was treated by others (i worked on Brigade staff), people really dont like you once youre broken. Its also very hard to keep your head in the game when you are fighting mental illness and other physical injuries... Served 9 years, I'm ready for a change, and to spend more time with my babies. I'll miss the clowns for sure, just not the circus. Hang in there, your time will come too. Pay it forward and share your timeline here to help others know what to expect.
