I signed my narsum and got it submitted to the PEB on 14 SEP 2022 and was curious, how soon should I be expecting to hear back with my unfit decision?

I had my NARSUM submitted to PEB 3 Aug…. Haven’t heard anything yet. It’s been 7 weeks now

Yep… 6 weeks past submission to PEB for me as well. I’d say expect 2-3 months at least.

Fort Drum here and already got orders. My NARSUM was sent about 5-6 weeks before my VA.gov changed to have two claims opened, one closed and one open with all my ratings (I was told this was because I'm not a veteran yet and so they close one to complete the process and then close the one with all the claims once you're out. After the status changed to closed, it was another 1-2 weeks before I got my 199. After the case closes, you can call the VA 10 days (they say business days but I called 10 normal days) after and get your ratings. It's a crap shoot so you can call, if they say they can't do it, just wait 10 minutes or whatever and call back. Took me 4 times but I got my ratings. Signed and then got my orders 48 hours after I signed. Now I'm currently getting ready to outprocess. In case you're wondering about how terminal leave works, there's two major dates on your orders, the No Later Than date and the You must take leave by this date date. Basically the You must take leave date date is the only one that matters because you can start terminal leave then and then just take off. The NLT date is basically just to cap your leave or if you REALLY want to stay in, you can stick it out until then and then take off. I found both ebenefits and va.gov to do a decent job of keeping up with the process. Final note that I've heard of people getting their stuff back after signing their NARSUM in like 2 weeks and being out like a week later. The above is just my experience.

Any updates yet? I called my PEBLO today and she blew me off, telling me that she said the whole process could take 6 months. 8 weeks and I don't even know if the PEB found me fit or unfit. Anyone else having issues with a PEBLO that is absolutely no help? I've only called twice and she acts as if I call every day. Has anyone else waited more than 2 months for a fit or unfit decision from PEB?

Same situation here. Been since 29JUL and haven’t heard anything on if the PEB has even come to a decision yet much less anything from the VA. PEBLO is just not helpful at all and constantly acts annoyed even though I make an effort to only reach out once a month. Hang in there.

Yeash. My PEBLO said to expect 4-6 weeks. I'm currently coming up on week #3 (11OCT22) with nothing yet.

Talked to my MSC and she told me that the PEB submitted my packet to the VA for percentages 29 sep…. I guess the PEB is really backed up. It took them 2 months. Hopefully the VA doesn’t take forever but at least I know there’s movement on my case

My peblo tells me 6 months. So far it’s looking like 6 months for me. June I started MEB and right now I’m waiting for PEB to send my ratings to my peblo. Va is complete with ratings.
