22 FEB: P3, Referred to MEB provider
02 MAR: 1st QTC Exam
19 MAR: Last QTC Exam (At home sleep study)
18 APR: NARSUM dictation (telephonic), found unfit by MEB. [2 conditions unfit, 5 fit]
20 APR: NARSUM accepted and signed, sent to PEB
03 MAY: VA says ratings will be signed on 05 MAY and sent to the PEB for their proposed ratings

Does anyone have a rough estimate on how long the PEB takes to return proposed ratings?
 
how did you findout you were unfit before you submitted your narsum to the PEB? I think the PEB is the one who determines fit or unfit right? Also how did you know the VA said the ratings will be signed and sent to the PEB, that's an amazing timeline! Signed the narsum the day after you and also hoping to hear an update here soon.

I think what I meant about the unfit is that the MEB provider confirmed that the two conditions were referred to the PEB. That all happened when we did the NARSUM dictation on the phone. As far as the VA goes, I just called them and the lady said that the ratings were at the last phase and would be signed off by the 5th.

Always worried that I am going to get that type of person, but I've been very lucky so far with everyone from the call center to my PEBLO. Keep trying!

Yeah the pueblo is a whole other story lol, maybe ill call again in a couple days and hopefully I get someone that knows their job lol

Do you have an expedite memo by chance? They said its been sent to the PEB, but nothing seems to being expedited on our end

No expedite memo, but I only had 4 claims, so that might be why it is moving fast. Not sure if you are at Campbell but it seems to be going fast for other folks I've spoken to here.

04 MAY: Claim listed as closed on VA website

So crazy that its moving that fast? Throw some of that good luck over here haha, signed the day after you and haven't heard anything back as far as updates go, and i even have an expedited memo :oops: It doesn't help that thy pueblo isn't the best :/
 
Nice man! I am right up the road from ya at Fort Knox. Did your peblo give you updates for the PEB status? I signed my narsum about 1.5 weeks ago and havent heard anything.
 
About 2 weeks after I signed my NARSUM my claims closed on VA.gov. I called them and they sent me a bare-bones proposed ratings letter. Now that they are done with ratings, I'm simply waiting on the DoD to compile the DA199. My PEBLO is careful not to quote me a faster timeline than what is in the DoD Regulation, but he said that since the VA has sent their ratings to the DoD, it shouldn't be long until I get my 199. Hang in there, I think the finish line is right up the road.
 
Good luck Screaming Eagle!! I was an MP with the 101st from 2004 to 2007 (101st MP Company than the unit re-aligned and I went to 1BCT (Bastogne). I went through air assault school back then at 39 years of age and then Iraq in 2005 to 2006. I just retired from the Army last year from active duty. I wish you the best in your post-Army life.
