No no, you’re in the right track. That’s the paper you’re waiting for now, that’s what she told you 1-3 days . …
Once you get that , then as you said before, you’ll go to transition center with your approved leave and commander counseling . And they will cut your orders

Okay. So if my company approves my leave quickly my orders will be cut by the center and I can grab my clearing papers and gtfo?
 
I recommend taking all the leave you can. It doesn’t change the time you’re leaving . Only the leave approval waiting time …

Yeah... I just have an apartment I signed for out in honolulu so paying another month with me not there is ouch. Wanted to be there before May 1st but thats probably not happening. At least my severance pay is paying at the 5 year mark dince Im over 4years and 6mo now.

Yeah but the time you’ll be on leave you’ll receive bah and active duty pay and bas . Sounds like a good deal to me

Thanks for all the help! What does the leave form look like if (for example) requesting 60d Leave and 20d PTDY (or leave of absence or whatever it's called now)?

If you’re doing it on the pdf, you click on combination leave, and then select terminal. And I believe on remarks you type the reason for non chargeable leave . So “ permissive tdy”
