Good Evening. I have been reading these post since I have been sent to a MEB. I went to get a profile for my back and ended up with a 3P. Since I have been a Recuriter on AGR status with the NG I used TriCare Prime Remote. When I received the 3P for my back (chonic lower back pain)I had to submit medical records for an MRDP When the finding for that came back, I had two more 3P. One for RLS/parasomina and one for PTSD/insomnia (medication). So I was recommend to a MEB, through Fort Jackson on OCT 15. I completed My last C&P exam Jan. Did a pre separation brief today. I am just trying to figure out if anyone knows the timeline at Fort Jackson or what to expect next. I have a 12 years active duty, 17 total and 2 deployments as an 11B to Afghanistan before I went to the dark side of recruiting. Thank you all for your help!

After my C&P exams I waited a month and then was notified of an additional exam. I cancelled that exam and was called in to sign my NARSUM about a week or two after. A few people I have worked with got their NARSUM anywhere from two weeks to a month after their final exam. My case was sent up to the PEB the same day I signed my NARSUM.

I am AD at Fort Riley so results may vary.

Just got notified that my PEBLO has revived my exams and is sending them to the doctor to write the NARSUM, so hopefully this just keeps moving right along.

I’m new and trying to understand. I thought after you signed your NARSUM, they conduct the MEB?

I have finished my QTC exams and was told (by QTC) that they were sent to the VA. I am currently waiting for the NARSUM. How could they do the MEB for you without the NARSUM?

I very well could be confused in understanding the process. Thanks!

I am not a professional, I am lost in the sauce with some of it all too. But….the NARSUM is a summary that your MEB doctors will create after reviewing the QTC exams and all provided medical records the NARSUM will pretty much make or break your case in regards to the PEB. You will receive your NARSUM from your PEBLO, you will review with legal to ensure it is all correct, then that with all medical documents are forwarded to the PEB. The PEB majority of the time will make their decision (fit/unfit) from your NARSUM.
