How much longer?

Update, I'm signing off on my package to be sent up to the PEB on Monday the 24th. From what I'm seeing on here, once the PEB accepts my package, I have to wait 50-60 days to get my findings. After I sign my findings, it takes a week to get my new EAS date, which will be my leave plus 20 days and it has to be at the end of a month. Does this sound right?
Sounds about right. My package went up April 11th, got accepted on the 17th, ratings closed on May 28th via the VA claim tracker, and then I was told to come sign my findings on June 13th. Got word my new EAS will be posting as of today June 21st.

Something I wish they told me was your EAS must be on the 30th or the 15th, and they don't really care if you do or don't use all of your terminal. If you want to contest your EAS date you have to request that MMSR-4 work with you and it's sent to your CO for approval.

I've got 17.5 days of leave and 20 days of PTAD, 37 whole days outbound. Looking like I won't even be able to use 30 on the way out though... it is what it is.

Request an extension on your EAS. Worse they could say is no.

I’m literally in the same spot as you, my case got submitted to the peb Wednesday. I’m really lost on this whole process so far and mine started back in late February. I’m at a really remote location so all of my stuff has been over the phone and emails… besides my VA appts

has it been accepted yet? If all goes as planned it should be a smooth process. My PEB acceptance was delayed a month bc my peblo “forget” to send it

“Your medical board case has been accepted by the PEB for action” as of 0001 June 28 through MOL. Just checked and got that notification. I called the peblo yesterday and my stuff is being ran through 29 palms and they are usually helpful. Not much info as usual but they are nice. I got told yesterday I probably won’t hear back until September/ October…. Which is a bummer but from what I’m seeing on here these cases are going by faster than that.

Anybody towards the end, I called the VA asking what step I'm in on their end, dude told me I'm on step 5- pending decision approval. My last C&P exam was April 11th. Am I close to getting the decision from the VA? my case hasn't even been sent up to the PEB yet bc of some mistakes with paperwork on medical's end.

Good news is this: the VA and anything to do with the MEB side of things are totally independent from eachother and once the VA finishes their process they finish: they don't wait on the DoD for any reason.
Bad news is this: Any time you get one of those step 1-5 updates it's largely meaningless. Most of those agents answering the phone don't understand what IDES even is: the cases are so infrequent I'm beginning to question if they ever got formally trained on it. Maybe it was a 1 chapter topic in a big book. The only meaningful updates I had was from asking one agent if I had any files attached to my claim, and then hanging up and calling again to look for an agent that would just send my findings over. 100% of the people I've spoken to on here eventually gets an agent that sends their shit over. Bad news is you also have no idea if any files are attached, so you'd have to hope an agent is honest with you when they tell you if there are or aren't files attached.

Your VA claim will probably not populate until it's closed. You can see this when you download the VA app, go to claims, claim history, and click the closed tab. When it closes you will see a claim that shows a benefits estimate letter from VASRD. Once you see that you need to incessantly call the VA until someone sends you that file. It's literally your board's decision for your combined VA rating.

If you catch the files early enough you can see the actual decision letter where it breaks it down claim by claim. You'll get this letter when you actually sign for your findings, but from what I understand this file is deleted regularly when the generic BEL is attached to the claim.

I finished my exams about a month before you did and I'm retiring in about 10 days. You're close to the end. The PEB is quick as fuck and that's an understatement.

Thank you man I'm just so antsy. It's hard to come in to work everyday and pretend that I still care about my Marine Corps career. It does seem like the PEB is going insanely fast right now. Also, just so you know, you have been the most helpful and insightful dude on here and I appreciate all your posts. Good luck on the outside brother

I feel you man, I definitely didn't get the best treatment going through this process in my unit. I doubt many Marines going through this process do. But I will say this, especially if you're married: you're gonna cross a threshold where things feel like they're going TOO fast. Like "Fuck, should I ask for an extension?" type fast.

I had to sell 20 days of leave type fast. I'm leaving as soon as IPAC is allowed to accept my case for a DD-214 generation and as soon as DMO is allowed to handle a HHG move.

Just keep playing the game until it's over. You'll get yours.

When I got into work this morning I checked MOL and my case has been accepted for action. It feels like there's finally steady progress being made. I'll let you guys know when my VA case is closed.

My case also got accepted by PEB on the 26th of July. I cant really put a timeline of everything cs i forgot lol but i was referred back in march of this year and I'm already in PEB so id say I've been moving pretty quick. Let me not jinx myself though. Seems like marines are going through this process pretty quick.

We got accepted by PEB the same day so i would think we would be getting results around the same time keep me posted man. Seems like were almost at the finish line but well see what these next 2 months bring.

yeah man youre going a lot faster than i am. i got referred beginning of january. I think that my eas will probably be nov 15 or 30 cause ill have 25 days of leave plus the 20 days of ptad. i think ill get my findings around the end of september hopefully. now that im in the peb phase i feel so much better cause im not waiting on my peblo, or different people for different reasons. now its a team that has one objective so i dont see why it would take past september

thats what im sayin man. keep me updated when shit starts moving for you

Update: called Jeff and he confirmed they've voted on my case and now they're waiting on the VA.
