IDES Timeline - Bangor,WA

Sorry if I was unclear. I haven't actually submitted a PTAD request. My S1 just told me that I rate it and that I'll be able to use it. I'm pretty sure you just submit the PTAD request with your outbound interview. It says on the OBI to submit PTAD not in conjunction with terminal as a regular leave request. Just something to confirm with S1.
Not in conjunction with terminal? Also can terminal and PTAD be approved within the same day the rq was made or should you give it a week ?

My EAs updated but I do not have orders. Will I not get orders until I contact IPAC?
Fucking congrats !!! What was your index number ? Also I believe you gotta talk to S1 and do an outbound interview / talk to IPAC outbound

I’m not sure my index but I signed my findings on Jan 30 so y’all should be soon. I’ll talk to IPAC tomorrow.

Glad I messaged that I got an update :) so orders should populate tomorrow? Or is this an S-1 thing?

Asked my MSgt when I can put PTAD and terminal leave in and he said when i do my outbound and get my DD214? Does this make sense to anyone?

Outbound interview Ipac should help you with terminal and PTAD and you forward your PTAD on mol

I signed my findings Jan 29th and just got my EAS yesterday as well, mine is March 15th though?……. That doesn’t give me near enough time to take PTAD and my terminal. What can I possibly do to get it?? One maradmin I read said that involuntary separations rate “up to” 20 days and I’m worried that they’ll say you don’t rate the full 20, just up to that if you have available time. My EAS doesn’t…..

So this is what I got from MMSR-4 (from the GySgt's mouth). Once they receive your findings from the PEB, they have a strict 24hr turnaround to certify your package. Certifying is basically them looking over the documents and inputting the data into the system. The system then automatically calculates a new EAS based on how much leave you have accrued, plus 20 days of PTAD. Your EAS will automatically post to MCTFS/3270 once certified (give it a couple hours). However, not everyone has 3270 access, so it will take up to 48hrs to populate on MOL (that is counting on that MOL is not down - keep an eye on the date last updated in the top right corner of your MOL screen).

My EAS just populated yesterday for March 15th. I have 8 days of leave and that’s not near enough time to take PTAD. What do I need to do. One maradmin I read said unvoluntary seps rate “up to” 20 days ptad…

On MOL when you have an EAS date within the appropriate timeframe you can go to the travel section and do your outbound interview. I think it is 90 days. PTAD and your terminal request will go through that.

I would talk to your S1 and see if you can't get your date moved. The answer might be no though. The good news is you'll be able to sell whatever terminal you don't take.

My outbound interview populated this morning, I requested PTAD for 30 days and selling leave. I didn’t have enough time to take terminal as well. The light is at the end of the tunnel everyone!

I’ve been told there might be a chance I can extend for a month, but what justifications is there that I could get it extended? Any thoughts help

You would have to submit a permanent limited duty request as far as I understand. Needing extra time to prepare to seperate should be justification.

Posting an update here, the night my EAS updated I submitted my outbound on MOL
the morning after my EAS updated on MOL I went to IPAC outbound and they gave me my DD214 that same morning and I got orders to begin PTAD Feb 28th at 0800 (that very same fucking morning).

Left Camp Pendleton Feb 29th and arrived to Jacksonville Florida March 2nd. Holy fuck that drive was insane ! I barreled the fuck away from base because I am scared I will get called back !

Honestly I’m worried about being called back in. For reasons I don’t feel like getting to I’m staying in my barracks for PTAD (starting March 10 at midnight I believe) until March 30th then I’ll make the drive to Washington State. I’m still trying to get my PTAD approved and checkout. Some people in my command are making me work a lot so it’s hard to have time to do anything especially checking out. You’re in Florida now, they can’t really do anything to you, but I get your worry. As for civilian work take it a day at a time, take some time for yourself before anything.

I'm not stressing about being recalled. I'm not gonna do anything that might get me in trouble if I do get recalled, but I plan on being halfway across the country for my terminal/ptad. If you told them you're going to Florida you should be fine.

Once your stuff is signed off by the CO there is very little that your local chain can do. The only time I've heard of people getting called back on Terminal is for pee pee tests. You won't be going back to work if your leave is signed off.
