15 July 23 - MEB Referral (3 conditions, musculoskeletal)
29 Aug 23 - C&P Exams completed
24 Sept 23 - NARSUM signed & submitted to PEB
25 Sept 23 - PEB acceptance notification
19 Oct 23 - PEB package status still ‘in screening’ (per phone call)
25 Oct 23 - VA status ‘Decision Phase’

Not seeing anything on the VA app, but assuming that’s because PEB hasn’t triggered next steps since my package was still apparently pending initial screening after nearly a month.

Is this normal? Looking at this forum, seems like most are at least getting IPEB decisions around 2 weeks after PEB acceptance?

Any insight on what one could expect for a timeline from here? If accepted by the PEB (MOL notification), how could a package still be pending initial screening at the PEB nearly a month later?

My case took almost a month between the "PEB referral" and the "PEB accepted."
You won't see anything on the VA app for a while. Once they "close" the case on their end it'll show in the app under "Benefits" - "Claims" - "Claims history" - "Closed"
I'm not sure about the initial screening because I was never notified between the "PEB accepted" and "Post VA QA." My case was "PEB accepted" June 5th and I just got my findings this week, hopefully yours will be faster, but be prepared for it to take while.

Mine took about 4 months when it was accepted by the PEB. It was accepted July 5th and I got my findings last Wednesday OCT 25th.

Thanks for the insight. So pretty much no news from 5 June until notification on your findings?

That seems to be the going rate, just baffles me that there is no way to keep the service member in the loop between PEB acceptance and findings…

Basically. I called a few times because my command wanted updates but my PEBLO is kinda trash so she usually wouldn't tell me much besides "expect another 4-6 weeks" pretty much anytime I asked for an update.

No peblos are trash they all have tons of sailors and marines (plus their own personal life) they can’t keep track of everyone and they won’t tell you a specific timeline because the PEB and VA are so damn inconsistent. They are not going to mislead you I was in the same boat I waited 10 weeks to receive my findings after my case closed.

Just got mine today EAS date it 29 DEC going to try and move it to the 15th of DEC so it really does only take a week. I signed last Tuesday.
I'm so happy for you, but I'm so jealous cuz that's when I signed too! Congrats!

I honestly didn’t know I could ask them anything, I thought it would just populate in MOL
Not sure how it 100% works in USMC but I’m a CPPA anyway in the Navy. We get message traffic for notification. Then my command puts together a separation/retirement package.

15 Nov - PEB found Unfit
26 Nov - VA Claim closed
27 Nov - PEB ‘QA’ stage (no timeline estimate provided)

Spoke with PEBLO, he says PEB finding was unfit, case is now in QA stage. He said he couldn’t - or wouldn’t - give a timeline estimate from here. Looking through this forum, estimates seem like anywhere from a week to months from this point, which is quite a spread.

Any insight from someone at this stage is welcomed.

Submitted to PEB Oct 4
VA Closed 6 Nov
Found unfit 20 Nov

IDES attorney told me 1-2 months until results.
PEB phone number told me "3 months", someone had posted in this forum that he only gives generic responses due to people not being nice to him though.

No idea which to go off of and no timeline for jobs that I'm applying for currently. No idea how it takes 1-3 months to send the final ratings, if they found me unfit shouldn't they have everything they need? - No idea and every time I attempt to understand, there's never a verifiable source of information.

Assmilk out.

If you were already found unfit that means you are in QA as am I right now. When I called this week he said that I had been in QA for 30 ish days, and the longest standing case currently in QA was 56 days so yeah your timeline is sounding right. Dont forget to take the holidays into consideration. I was submitted to the PEB Sept 5th so you should get yours around a month after me as long as they dont get backlogged again
