Referred to IDES: April 15, 2023
All C&P Exams completed in May
PEB Acceptance in MOL: June 13, 2023
VA Case closed: July 25, 2023

I have been blowing my PEBLO tf up since my VA case closed July 25th. She finally answered the phone and just said she doesn't have anything and its going to be 4-6 months. She had this response in about 1 second, so clearly did not actually look my case up. Is there anyone else I can contact to get a status update? I just want to know if I have been found fit/unfit by PEB. Also would like to talk to literally anyone else except for my PEBLO regarding my package (she is definitely the type of person that should be working at a DMV somewhere).
 
You could try seeing if your case manager can help you with anything. Mine usually calls me and asks if everything alright and how the process is going.

Like my msc with the VA? Not sure what you mean by case manager...
 
Hm I'm surprised you haven't seen them before hand. They help by giving you the right places to go, and usually help go talk to PEBLOS for you. They're kind of like a middle man. I'm pretty sure you can call medical and ask to speak to one. Hopefully that makes sense

Yeah im AD, but stationed in New Orleans. All medical stuff goes through a navy base nearby. I did call and was able to leave a message for the "case manager" over there, though. Are they able to look up my case and get status updates? Or is that just a PEBLO thing?
 
They personally can't do it themselves, but they will annoy the crap out of the peblo on getting answers for you.
 
My lawyer warned me to never call the peblo or MSC and bug them about your case. I also want to say your Peblo gave you that answer of 4-6 months for the entire process start to finish they give everyone the same answer because they have so many cases to work on and keep track of. Good luck though my case was closed 3 weeks ago.

Just noticed one of my dates were wrong I meant accepted by peb 7/19 (on my post)
I’m really hoping I’m as fast as you were.
 
@Guyquot3 you should call the Va and ask for proposed ratings. I got the right representative and she emailed me my proposed ratings and it said this

Your military service department requested a disability assessment from VA because you were found unfit for continued military service. A final rating decision and entitlement to VA benefits are contingent upon your service being deemed honorable for VA purposes at discharge. In the event you are not separated from service, as a result of the Integrated Disability Evaluation System (IDES) process, this rating will be null and void for the purposes of entitlement of VA benefits.

So in my guess I was found unfit call the VA brother.

So I called them said on on the “final stage” could be any day now. I’m getting my proposed ratings here soon

Not to be that guy, but don't get your hopes up. I spoke with the PEB twice over the past month and both times I have gotten the "it is in the final QA stage, should be any day now" response. There are a few other people on other forums in the same spot getting the same answer. There has to be a backlog at QA or something. I got excited the first time they said it, and here I am almost 5 weeks later with still nothing.
 
Yea true it’s what they are supposed to read off a script lol ridiculous. Don’t get your hopes up is right there is a backlog not with VA but with the PEB that’s for sure. The last set of people who got their findings was on AUG 24th. I was told by my lawyer they spit out findings every two weeks in sets.

Hang in there brother. Did they say it’s pending final review or step 6 out of 8. It should take a few days now for the VA to say hey these are your proposed ratings. And on that letter (you are gonna have to ask the Va rep to email it to you). It should state you have been found unfit for continued military service which makes sense because you are being rated by the VA.

Do you know how many people get their findings per time? Lol this is a shit show.

They didn’t tell me all that but usmc and navy are together my lawyer said they do it this way so the peblos aren’t getting findings every day, they have other obligations and appointments. He didn’t mention how many though. I can ask today when I’m on the phone with him he has a bunch of good information.

Yes if you could I would greatly appreciate it. Did you ever find out if you were fit or not. Or did he state that if your case is with the Va for ratings that you should be good.
