Yeah. i havent found a single person saying something good about their peblo or lawyer. They all seem to pretend as if its too much for them to answer the damn phone. I hope there is a way to fix this in future. They pretend to do us a favor when they are suppose to do their jobs.My MEB was submitted April 24th so hopefully ill hear something this month. I did check ebenifits and it says my VA claims is awaiting decision approval. It seems im finally seeing a little light at the end of tunnel. My PEBLO is useless with updates, I call him every 2 months and he acts like its a huge inconvenience to check and I get the same answer every time " Its still at board" …. Its very frustrating not having a time line or a way to some what track the progress of this..
I like both of mine. I feel like it's the system that is broken.Yeah. i havent found a single person saying something good about their peblo or lawyer. Yeah, my lawyer is same. Atleast yours respond you through email. Mine dont answer the phone or replies any email. I wish I could change him.Looks like my lawyer is still no help. Emailed asking if there was any information about my case on the tracker and he hit with the generic reply,
"We will discuss your VA rating decision as soon as your findings are in from DoD. Your PEBLO will reach out to you first to discuss. Afterwards, you and I will go over everything with the VA rating decision and the steps to take next."
This is the answer.I’ve just been told to sit back wait and relax
Is there a maine equivalent? This is the answer.
And everyone should be seeing mental health or at least a counselor from FFSC. This waiting will drive you crazy.
I don't think anyone planned this for their career, whether they are a "lifer" or a one and done so it can easily mess with your mind. Even though we may feel like we are alone in this, we have people that can help. So reach out and use your resources, even if it is just a ranting post on here.
Now is not the time to get angry or pissed off at people. The system is out of whack right now so we need to use the system to our benefit.
Use this extra time to make sure everything in your record is documented, both your service and medical records.
Take extra classes in a field that interests you.
Research VA benefits.
Make yourself better.
The government will pay you until they have fully adjudicated your case, so let them take their time while you get paid.
Use this time to get yours.
I'm not sure but there seems to be something called marine family support services. But if you are on or near a navy base I'm pretty sure you can go to FFSC or at least get further guidance from them.Is there a maine equivalent?
OofThey are still working on April cases peblo told me
I asked him and he was a little surprise but didn’t really see any issues as long as the Peblo cleared it.I don't believe it would interfere with anything but maybe check with your lawyer to double check.
I was told to wait on getting my wisdom teeth out because of one of my claims and that if I had them taken out I would have to redo the exam afterwards.Talking about self care while in the process, can anyone answer this? Anybody know if it’s a big deal to get a a foot surgery for tarsal tunnel while in the PEB. It’s the foot equivalent to carpal tunnel in the hand. I figure I mine as well get it done while I’m waiting. I already got rated at 100%VA without documenting tarsal tunnel as a medical condition. Something they found on top of plantar facitis. It was cleared by my Peblo.
