Ok, so I had my VA claim update on the 28th and it updated again on the 31st with a claimed condition of VASRD BEL. Anyone know what that means? I have been in adjudication for 9 days now, so curious to know if that means the board sent my rating back to VA
I had the same thing happen to mine last week. BEL stands for Benefits Estimate Letter. It’s your proposed ratings. I was able to track down on my case that the VA sent me BEL to the PEB. The PEB needs it to determine final DoD %.

But the mission statement of the peb right now is essentially work the backlog. This sucks for the fbeb guys because they are doing less of those to facilitate working the backlog.
FPEB are being taken on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I was told that they do not do any IPEB on those days and solely focus on FPEB. IPEBs are done on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Something may have changed since I was told that though.

Was your case sent to the PEB in June or was it assigned to a Medical Officer on the PEB in June? If it was sent to the PEB in June it may not have been assigned to a MO until July.
It was sent up in June and assigned a MO in July. I have been in adjudication for 8 days now, and that VARSD BEL updated today, so hopefully that means my case is about done.

How did you find out you were in adjudication. Was it your peblo. I would rather not keep bugging me peblo lol

bug the peblo. But if you feel like you have done it too much, the lawyer has access too

If you are medboarded for mental health. (Multiple conditions) Would going inpatient for treatment affect your PEB?

Are you asking if it would effect your timeline or your rating? It wouldn’t effect your timeline unless you were required to stay in there for an insane amount of time. It could effect your percentage if the VA hasn’t already given you a proposal. At least that’s my understanding.

Does it say that they will send you a letter? If it does, then you proposed rating is ready. Just call the VA they will email it to you. You wont get it in the mail anytime soon , there is a huge backlog with mail from them. I wouldn't mention you are going through a med board.

My VA claim updated back in October and I got my proposed rating then. So it is just weird that it updated again

O maybe they are finalizing it. That's what the VA guy told me. They go through your file one last time.

Just got an email saying I need another QTC appointment. Been at PEB since aug 12th. Think it’s gonna be a huge delay? Why would I need another exam after all this time?
