IDES Timeline

Were you able to go sign them already??
No not yet. I’ll get a call soon to make an appointment to come in to review everything. My wounded Warrior counselor told me if I don’t hear anything else by Friday to let her know and she’ll find out more for me.

I have no idea what order they review cases because these timelines have been off the wall. I do think things are speeding up though. Whether an ailment is physical or mental, I couldn’t tell you if that is a determining factor on how soon they make a decision

It seems to be that Mental Health cases are going through the medical officers (2) while physical cases are going through the line officers (4-6). Mental health cases are lagging way behind due to complexity so they are typically only seen by medical officers

on my PEB forms it isn't just physical ailments, I have some mental stuff as well which is why im kinda anxious about it. my friend got a phone call about hers almost two months ago and she only had one claim so maybe mine is too much... I have no idea and I have a timeline to keep up with my husband has to be present in Colorado for a new job in June... im really worried he will leave prior to me and I have no idea who I need to pester to get a straight answer.

Try the letters section of the call tree instead of the claims status. I tried and failed multiple times with the claims people, but I asked for my benefits estimate letter from the letters people and they emailed it right away.
When I call I don’t get a letter option, is it under another menu other than the main call menu?

Edit. Never mind just got it to go through. Trying this crap again

Honestly it’s just a crapshoot. I guarantee you they just grab stack and go. Nothing to stress over. If your doc says your unfit more than likely you’ll be unfit

Crohn’s disease and iron Deficiency
Understand. I’m referred for Patellofemoral Syndrome(Chondromalacia) In both knees with tear and impingement syndrome
But I got mental health conditions in my records

My PEBLO told me the VA can add those after QTC appointments and they may find them unfit service related

I’m hoping

I hope you get it
I’m hoping for the best as I am being proactive. I know every case is different but I notice that if you don’t be an advocate for yourself to seek other advocates then you are left battling.
Keep updated

Please do keep posting here. We’re all here together. Was there anything else in your form the PEB could find unfitting?
