Mine havent answered their phone/email in 3 weeks, getting kinda aggravated.

Just talked to the people dealing with message traffic here, and they said my message should be able to be seen in NSIPS Separations before they even get it- how legit is that? Our command has always been not great with message traffic so I'm just wondering if that's legit

VA case closed last week. Anyone know what to say when I call the VA hotline to get my proposed rating emailed to me?

dont tell them you are on a MEB or IDES. tell them you havent received your letter in the mail and ask for them to email it instead. you may have to call a few times to get someone who will email it. i have found that calling closer to closing is better since people dont want to argue and just want to end the call nicely and go home. a
also ask for the narrative letter which breaks down your total rating by each claim

Worked like a charm. 100% VA as of March 11. Funny how my claim didn’t move for 5 months and the day after I contacted my lawyer about it my claim started to move 3 days later lol

I dont think that the lawyer's intervention did anything as I am sure they did not do anything. It was the right time after your long wait. Congrats, @Hins116. You're almost there. I will be doing this also. Lol, I'm wondering if they are able to see on their screen that the case is IDES

I’m pretty sure they can because my case closed on the VA website says IDES estimation letter. I think you just have to get someone who doesn’t care

I am in the process of building a house. We were pre-approved for the VA loan in December last year, and construction will be starting this month. I only learned that you cannot get the VA loan if you are within 12 months of ETS, unless you have a solid, verifiable job offer. However, the Navy keeps extending me 6 months at a time which means my LES will never show anything beyond that timeframe. The truth is that the VA home loan does not address us in IDES who have no control over the process. Navy Fed denied me because they said I needed a job letter or at least 12 months left on contract. We feel betrayed by this process in so many different ways. Any advice, based on experience would be highly appreciated.
I’m in the same boat. I want to buy a house but due to the 12 month thing, I’m going to go with a different loan option. NavyFed has something called the military choice loan. 0 down payment, no mortgage insurance, but the interest rate and APR is higher. You could look into that if you haven’t already. Maybe try looking into what USAA offers as well. On Facebook there is a group called VettedVA which has been very informative. You can request to join it, if you haven’t already

has anyone requested an FPEB recently and can shed light on the timeline to receive a formal date? I was told expect 1-2 months after signing my elections sheet, but the timelines have been super off recently, just want to see if anyone else has any experience?
I requested one a few weeks back. I was given the same timeline. My lawyer informed me to keep in mind the board stops working on the formal boards sometimes to work on the PEB backlog. The guy at the PEB said I should get a formal board date by mid April.

Here’s to more waiting

I just called my lawyer as well and they said I should have had my ratings by now. Since I called my lawyer I have had people from the VA blowing up my phone left and right lol. Good call brother.

@Neecy09, thank you so much. I immediately called Navy Fed and they said I should apply for the Military Choice but she (rep) was not sure if the 12 months would still apply to it. Lol, you didn't tell me about the 1.75% funding fee they slapped on to it

Mine didn't either, but I just kept bothering my va rep then I just got a new des lawyer that actually does her job

Hopefully will get my sep message today. I've been messaging the ITs and YNs here about it lol

For those of us who have signed our findings and have been waiting for our new eas. Where can we check or call to see if it has populated. I know admin is supposed to let us know is there anywhere else?

Oh wow I didn’t even know about the funding fee. I’ll have to look more in depth in to that loan.

Any VA loan with a funding fee is a fucking joke. Talk to your realtor on the lender theyre used to using - I got 2.3% with 0 funding fee, 0 points (points are just 1 point = 1% of home cost as a fee). Veterans United was offering 2.4% with 2 fucking points. Please, PLEASE, PLEASE! Reach out to multiple lenders and DO NOT ACCEPT A FUNDING FEE/PAY FOR POINTS. I can personally talk you through all of this if any of you need help.

My realtor told veterans united to buzz off very respectfully by emailing them "Please tell me how you serve and help the veterans who served and protected you, by charging them thousands of dollars unnecessarily." The Veterans United lender didn't even reply, just canceled my loan.
