My VA claim closed today. I'll likely find out the decision and ratings on Tuesday through my PEBLO. Am I able to find the ratings online before then? I called the VA and the rep wouldn't share.

My claim also closed on Friday according to the VA App. Hopefully we both get our proposed ratings at the same time; also can you let me know if you get in contact with VERA?

We usually aren’t told this information, for when they receive the claims. I’ve scoured this thread and have never seen a date listed for when the VA receives claims.
Whatever day you and your MSC filled out and signed the claim paperwork is the day your case is opened.

My case was sent up to AFPC on April 6th. I signed with my MSC just before that. However, if I call the VA, they show that my claim has been open since December.

All I know is that we've had 4 MEBs going simultaneously in my unit. I'm the last of the 4 and they all received a MyFSS notification the next business day after their VA claim closed on VA.gov. I'm going on 3 business days after. The wait continues.

I found out that my MEB was done incorrectly, during the time AF MEB was using DSM-IV to make the determination and the VA used DSM 5. There is a big difference between the two because PTSD was no longer associated with Anxiety. DSM 5 was published in 2013, but my LOD and MEB were based on the DSM-IV, whinch was outdated and the VA used DSM 5, this was a joint process under IDES. The MEB and the impartial reviewer failed to catch this and made the wrong conclusion. Per the APA in 2010 in the psychiatric times stated The inappropriate application of DSM could create dire human consequences: high rates of psychiatric misdiagnoses, incorrect treatment plans, and negative patient health outcomes. So why did the MEB use the inappropriate DSM, because the multiaxial system was no longer used, panic attacks are associated with all disorders in DSM 5, and PTSD is in the trauma section. If you had this happen You might want to go to the Board of Correction. This tells me they made a mistake and they have it documented using the DSM iV and they didn’t question the VA using the DSM 5, so this allowed the board make an inappropriate decision based upon not using the DSM 5, or did they refused so they could make it to favor their decision, which was the lessor.
