Idiopathic Hypersomnia/Narcolepsy difference when it comes to VA

I am diagnosed with Idiopathic Hypersomnia, but since there's no code for it, AFPC decided that I am getting out with a 8108 code for Narcolepsy.

Should I claim Narcolepsy during my C&P? Since there's no code or DBQ for Idiopathic Hypersomnia.

I'm in a similar situation myself (diagnosed with Idiopathic Hypersomnia and now referred to MEB). What did you end up doing for the VA claim and what was the end result?

The VA raters grouped my idiopathic hypersomnia with my OSA. They argued that my hypersomnia was due to OSA rather than being a stand alone condition.

I'm going to try to appeal this because my C&P examiner had even filled out the Narcolepsy DBQ for my Idiopathic Hypersomnia (which the VA rater chose to ignore). If they followed the Narcolepsy DBQ, it would have given me a higher rating than what I received for OSA.
