Hello all,

My commander just sent off their CIS for my IRILO process. I was wondering what other people have experienced lately with timelines of receiving notification on either fit for duty or a full MEB directed? Trying to set my expectations appropriately and not bother my PEBLO too often.

Current Timeline:
IRILO initiated around Aug 24
NARSUM completed by PCM January 2025
CIS Submitted to PEBLO 3Feb25

My commander submitted the CIS to my peblo on 12/3. My peblo notified me of full meb required on 1/8.
But on my FL4 (document from afpc that states full meb required) is dated as 12/20. Im guessing Christmas break delayed mine.

Holidays make sense for delays yeah, I’m hoping for a full MEB but only time will tell.

Usually about two weeks from submitting is what my PEBLO told me. Then you get to the real waiting game; *the VA*

According to DAFMAN 48-108, para. 2.4.4, they’re supposed to render a decision within 10 calendar days. Of course, that’s probably just aspirational and can fluctuate depending on current throughput, and there’s probably no forcing function to hold them to it…

hold up... is there anything that can be done to move things along? Im a reservist who applied for retirement and was denied 30 days prior to my selected retirement date because im "due" a MEB for a condition I reported 2 years ago that they never did anything with. Im told that we only have one dr on staff and he only works drill weekends and can only get to cases between his training and such. im exptected 8-9 months to get an IRILO decision.

Really sorry to say this but the answer is no:(. Not much can be done.
