During this last year my health has really been deteriorating, I am a maintainer so my job is hard on my body. I have countless medical problems all occurring at the same time and having to constantly leave work to attend appointments. I am in constant pain all the time and I’m honestly not sure how long I can continue to tolerate everything that I have going on. I’ve developed asthma, my back and neck are shot (DDD, scoliosis, bulging disks, stenosis), feet pain, knee pain, shin splints, migraines, random allergic reactions when working out, and the biggest thing of all, my mental health. I am current Ww disqualified and on a good bit of profiles and mobility restrictions. Having to deal with it all and trying to stay afloat while also trying to maintain a good work ethic is becoming unbearable. Asthma is an automatic MEB referral, but my PCM has yet to initiate it due to him wanting to see improvement first. I was diagnosed in August and it has not improved, I’ve tried three different medications at this point. Countless antidepressants that have not worked, I feel like I’m just being thrown medication. I’m getting hopeless and discouraged. I meet with pain management later this week to discuss MRI results but I’m at the point where I’m no longer interested in any BS treatment they try to throw my way, I just want to get out for my health and mental wellbeing. When I do see small improvements, my line of work puts me back at square one. I’ve exhausted every option. Has anyone ever flat out asked for a medical separation and been successful?
