15 Feb 2024 - MEB notification

25 March 2014- filed VA claim for BDD (Sept 2024 DOS)

1 April 2024 - notified of Exam Dates

10 April 2024 - Code 37 notification

19 April 2024 - VA Exam

20 April 2024 - VA Exam

10 May 2024 - NARSUM completed

15 May 2024 - PEBLO Brief, IDES selection

24 May 2024 - VA Exams

8 May 2024 - PEBLO sent records to VA

10 June 2024 - Local board, Signed 618, PEBLO sent to AFPC (PEBLO did not submit all VA documents)

12 June 2024 - PEBLO made another mistake not waiting for my exams at TRICARE and submitted package as is.

20 June 2024 - PEBLO received kick back from AFPC missing all VA exams except 2 DBQs.

19 July 2024 - meeting with PEBLO (mistake made causing reset in timeline)

19 July 2024 - PEBLO told me I have to redo all my VA exams and start all over.

25 July 2024 - PEBLO miscommunicated with the VA representative did not have to redo exams.

5 August 2024 - VA representative reached out to QTC for not receiving all exams. Total wait time 3 months.

6 August 2024 - QTC said they archived claim for no reason because someone made a mistake.

28 August 2024 - All DBQs uploaded in TOL (took forever due to QTC and the evaluator)

29 Aug 2024 - Med hold signed, original separation date of Sep 2024

3 Sept 2024 - MED hold Approved

5 Sept 2024 - extention approved with new DOS of Mar 2025

6 Sept 2024- VA app/ Website step 5 of rating

18 Sept 2024 - Local board, Signed 618, PEBLO sent to AFPC

21 Sept 2024 - myFSS email: AFPC received MEB package

28 Sept 2024 - called VA (in rating phase)

2 Oct 2024 - Called VA problem with claim new system created duplicate due to BDD.

2 Oct 2024 - VA App/Website (step 5 to Step 3)

16 Oct 2024 - problem fixed duplicate deleted back to Step 4 (review phase)



Oct 2024 - VA Step 4 back to rating stage Step 5

29 Oct 2024- VA claim closed (BDD not IDES)

pending - myFSS email: Findings sent to PEBLO

14 Nov 2024- called VA rep and was told package is now officially with rater.

Pending - Meeting with PEBLO, Received ratings DOD ??? VA ???

Pending - 1180 signed

Pending - ORDERS RECEIVED! DOS ????

Pending - Final out

Pending - PTDY/Terminal

Pending - RETIRED/Separated
 
Anyone else having a problem not seeing their IDES VA claim status. I’m getting different information such as because I didn’t file it I can’t see it or for IDES claim it doesn’t appear. Seems like others have different experiences.

While I'm not AF, I've seen multiple instances that people can't see that their claims are processing until they're closed. I don't know if this is a function of the IDES portion of the VA that has different accountability standards or what.

Yeah I’ve been seeing the same. Thanks for the reassurance! It’s nice to see I’m not going crazy with all the different information I’m seeing.

I got annoyed with all the seemingly scattershot information regarding PEB Voting, so I compiled everything I found into a single posting that would be easier for people to find in the future. It would be A LOT easier if the process were more transparent.
 
So my PEBLO tells me different information from what you guys have. I tired asking when the PEB decided I was unfit but he stated that “everything comes in together so you won’t know if you were found unfit until VA Decides your rating”. I feel like my PEBLO has been super inconsistent with the information he provides me. I have a hard trusting him due to the fact he messed up and provided me wrong information multiple times. Anyone know a bit more?

So, he's not wrong, but he's also not right.

In terms of "OFFICIAL" notification, you don't "know" anything until you get notification from your PEBLO. He sounds like a stickler for technicalities.

As the process is fairly well known, inference of information can be gained from understanding where in the process the offramps are. One BIG offramp is FIT or UNFIT based upon a return to duty notification or forwarding of info to the VA. This is an "inferred" status, but is most definitely not an "OFFICIAL" notification.
 
I see. Thank you for the information. I know he’s using some certain systems to track my case but his updates are very general and when I ask what they specifically say I always get dodge saying just wait for FSS notification. Not sure if I’m misunderstanding from the post on here but it seems people have been getting specific updates. Mine won’t even explain where anything’s at except wait for the myfss email.

Do you have a VA rep? Army calls them your MSC. My PEBLO wouldn't tell me anything so after being in the PEB for 2.5 months I called my MSC trying to get more information and he told me everything even though they "aren't supposed to". He gave me my ratings and told me im just waiting for a final signature.

Some PEBLOs are better at inferring information from an incomplete picture based upon the information provided.

Like I said, this guy sounds like a technicality stickler, and he knows when he's supposed to notify you of each step. Think of it as poor bedside manner from a doctor. The information gets to you when the information gets to you, because he can't tell you before he tells you. I'm sorry I don't have anything more concrete in your situation.

Also, looking at your timeline, I think your "closed" notification was erroneous due to the duplicate claim, and because the actual is still with a rater, you're still waiting on the VA to provide ratings back to the PEB.

Perfect example of "not supposed to" but still get info.

I do have a rep but he’s a bit hard to get ahold of since the time difference for us. He’s also not great with emails but I agree the rep has been a lot more helpful.

I really appreciate the response. Honestly makes sense I’m acting surprised when most of my Career has been filled with “technicality stickler”. Honestly this message was good for me to keep my expectations lower. Just getting anxious to leave cus I lost 2 job opportunities.

Yeah, it's rough... but, look on the bright side. You've already had 2 organizations ready to take you on. Finding another is just a rinse and repeat kind of process now.
 
Received proposed rating from VA 90%. Had to make the phone call. Just for some people who may be curious it did not show up on my VA app or website. I called my VA representative directly and got this information today.

its okay my MSC says my peblo should be giving me updates and then my peblo says “i can’t give you updates……..you will find out when you get your ratings……..” i haven't had luck with getting information from either one.
