Good afternoon,
I am currently af Fort Benning for OSUT, having begun my training in early Febuary. I injured my left knee early on, and was diagnosed with stress fractures. I have now been here 8 months after pushing through the injury and having been recycled three times. Yes, three times... I was just recently told that I would be med boarded, and that the process would take about 8 months. What can you tell me about going through MEB as a trainee compared to being in the real Army? Would I be able to take some leave during those 8 months in order to see my family, and get a bit of my freedom back although temporarily? What will I be doing during this process?
Thanks
