This boggles my mind. I've been seeing mental health and on meds for over two years now and I'm STILL not Code 37. I'm having to jump profile to profile every three months to not have to run my PT test....because I can't freakin run!

Maybe there is something I'm missing here. I've spoken with all of my doctors about being med boarded and they assure me that I will be, but the MEB is starting to sound like the tale of the Loch Ness. I've usually got 2-3 medical appointments a week...sometimes up to 6 or 7! And it's been this way for over a year.

Honestly, I'm getting burnt out with all of this medical stuff. I've surpassed my mental capacity to deploy anymore....it's been a rough ride. My Squadron still sees me as "deployable" because I'm not Code 37. My flight leadership is awesome, but this supposed "med board" hasn't even started after almost a year. Anyone else been trapped in purgatory this long? I feel like a bag of ass because I'm of no use to my flight, other than administrative stuff.....I'm just ready to get on with the transition and start a new life.

I was in almost exactly the same place you are I had to wait 25 months for my MEB to start for my mental health disorder MEB to begin. During that time I suffered the medication roulette game, where they changed my meds every few months which caused me to gain a huge amount of weight because all of the serotonin based meds just play havoc on your metabolism.

I will say there is something really wrong with your situation in so much as if you are on all those medications, specifically the Seroquell, you are not deployable until you've had 90 days of stability. Also Seroquell is a no-go drug. If you have to be on it for over a year the MEB automatically has to start because it is an anti-psychotic.

The only thing I can see as causing the hold-up is their intention to send you to the intensive out-patient program. Once your MEB starts you have to be available to your PEBLO 100% of the time.

I will share this with you on the topic of migraines. Keep a log of your migraines, date, time, severity, medication taken. I say this because I was rated at 0% for my migraines because it seemed like I was having less migraines after treatment then before. Well, yes 8 is less than 22, but 8 debilitating migraines a month is still too many.

You might want to talk to your patient advocate at the clinic. They can be helpful in getting answers for you.

Thanks Jahlon for the info. That eases some of my concerns regarding the timeline. I think I will be approaching the 1 year mark on Seroquell sometime in September.

Just curious if anyone can take a shot in the dark as to what my ratings would look like as well? The stress of not knowing what the future holds for my family sucks.

On another note, this forum has been helpful to see and hear what others have experienced.
