I received an email from my PEBLO on Feb 16th that said We have just recently received the results of your CP exams from the VA and are pending a MEB physician writing the Narrative Summary. Once the NARSUM has been completed by the MEB doctor I will be able to provide you a copy for your election before the case goes for rating i sent my PEBLO and email yesterday got a response today We are still pending the NARSUM from the physician. how long does it usually take to get the NARSUM.

It varies widely. First time around my doc called within a few weeks. He had me proof read what he wrote. We made several small changes and off it went. Second time around the Doc wrote a great NARSUM for SSDI, but not what the PEB wanted. It took her several months to complete. The IPEB, made her re-write it.
Can the NARSUM also be used to apply for SSDI.
