I received my Narsum today and my two failing conditions is now only one. My conditions are below:

Does not meet retention standards:
1. Social phobia; chapter 3-33 b and c
2. Right achilles tendonitis(diagnosed by VA/QTC Examiner as resolved)

Does meet retention standards:
3. Reflux sympathetic dystrophy right leg
4. Lumbosacral spine radioculopathy not detected
5. Low back strain and degenerative disk disease in lumbosacral spine
6. Anorexia nervosa in remission
7. Post traumatic stress disorder with depressive features

My question is how will social phobia stand up in the peb alone when I have PTSD. And will the peb find things unfitting that meb did not? I am in a remote area and I do not have a meb legal near by so I'm trying to find out as many answers as possible.

Also, is there a person on this site that can review Narsum's and give any advice?

I personally would ask for an IMR and appeal. If you have a PTSD diagnosis, then it should say that. I think calling it a social phobia is treading on thin ice and could have the potential blow back of turning into 5-17 chapter (635-200). I am not a lawyer, but I smell bad things with that NARSUM write up.

Do you have official diagnosis of PTSD, or is that coming from the C&P dr? Can you show the back problems impact duty? I would appeal based on your lack of ability to perform basic soldier tasks. Look in the top section of a profile and you will see the tasks I am talking about.

Anyway, request the IMR and that will buy you a little more time to get a good appeal together.

Ranger,

The way social phobia is worded in my Narsum is pretty legit because it is a specific type of anxiety because I get severe panic attacks when I'm around crowds and others. It has effected me in all daily activities and the C&P examiner said this is a diagnosis along with PTSD with depressive features that have separate severity. She also said due to the anxiety I was on the verge of a panic attack while in the examining room in my report. Also, that I was unlikely to get better in the next 18 months. I'm mostly concerned my rsd is fitting instead of unfitting becausethe severity of pain I have to walk with a cane every day.

Even though you do not have MEB legal near you, counseling can take place by email or phone. You have several conditions that by themselves they may not be unfitting, but combined may be deemed unfitting. I would confer with M.A. Parker here on the forum. He is an expert and a champion as a advocate.
