So I got referred to the MEB 26August. It is now 19October and I have yet to hear from anybody. Like literally nobody knows anything and they just keep saying eventually I’ll get a call. I keep trying to call people and see what’s going on but nobody knows anything. My PCM doesn’t know anything, my leadership doesn’t know anything. How has it been 8 weeks since I have been referred and I have not been contacted by anybody. Idk what to do at this point. Does anybody have any advice or any numbers I can reach out to?

It looks like you didn't get PEBLO assigned or smth. What you should do- is to call your medical provider or the Doc who recommended you for MEB and let them know. Did you get a permanent profile? You can check it on Medpros.

You must be patient. The IDES/MEB/PEB process is a world of its own and patience is key…the entire process from notification of being placed into IDES, to your last day in the Army can take as little as 6 months and as long as 2 years or more.

Especially with Covid, things are way backed up and paperwork at most agencies/sections are log jammed.

I am pretty sure your paperwork is somewhere and someone is tracking your IDES, it just takes time…

however that being said, there is that possibility that your paperwork fell thru the cracks and no one is tracking you being in IDES.

It all depends on what you want…if you want to stay in, I wouldnt reach out to anyone and just continue to go to work every day and let someone else figure out that you fell thru the cracks…if you want to get out ASAP, then you should continue what your doing and placing calls and emails every day….

Most major installations have an IDES office, you can always go there and see if they can find you in their system.

Just like Alex94 said, check your P3 or P4 profile and contact whoever signed off on it. You can also try to call your BN or BDE S1 or your MEDCOM.

just remember to be patient, you are at the very beginning of a long journey.

Yeah I have a permanent profile. I’m a P3

Yeah I’m a P3. And nobody in my unit knows anything. I’ve tried reaching back out to my PCM and she knows nothing.

The process is very slow. That can be frustrating. Focus on things that are within your control. Start reviewing your medical conditions write them down. Everything!

I would check with your P3 profile to make sure they are not doing an “amendment” to it and or creating new P3/P4 profiles. I was waiting on a second signature for my P3 amendment for over 2 months before I got started.

I would call the PEBLO office directly, and tell them I haven't heard anything in 8 weeks. They'll be able to either assign you somebody instantly, or tell you what's the hold up.

I don’t have a number to a PEBLO office nor can I find one

Yeah somebody told me yesterday I’m waiting on a second signature on my profile even thought I should’ve had that within 1st two weeks.

Yeah it sucks that they make you think they actually started. Once that snag is done you will be automatically referred and the PEB begins officially

At what point time of IDES you knew your proposed VA ratings, is that in your NARSUM or you will know it at the very end. If you can please let me know

Different strokes for different folks on that one my friend.

Unfortunately some know what they are….some don’t. You either need a cool Peblo to tell you or get lucky with one of the 1800 operators. However you can match your DBQs against the 38 CFR which is on the VA website. You can kind of do a process of elimination between what is marked on your CP DBQ’s (you will recieve this with your MEB Proceedings).

So long story short, after 8 weeks total, and me bothering the shit out of people this week, I found out that the provider who issued me my P3 profile, was supposed to send my shit straight to IDES, which never got done because she didn’t know what she was doing. I was told today that some major was going to be walking her through the process of sending my shit to IDES and that within a week I should get a call from a PEBLO or Case Manager. I don’t have any faith in the time lines they give me, so we will see

Yeah definitely make sure all your stuff is green as well. My PHA had just lapsed and I had to do another before the provider could finish the P3 as well. So maybe log on to medpros or whatever system it is in now and check to make sure that’s all good.
