Presumption of fitness question

I'm 7 months from 20 years AD and starting the meb process. I'm concerned the process would be done before 20 years and I would miss the crdp benefit. At what point do I need an approved retirement date to protect myself with presumption of fitness?

My opinion is that you shouldn't have to worry about it because the process will more than likely not be finished in 7 months anyway based on where you say you are in the process.

Even if it were done tomorrow, they would allow you to finish your 20. I think there are no worries about getting CRDP.

Presumption of fitness only applies if you have dropped your retirement papers and they were approved PRIOR to your begin of the MEB process.

If you have 7 months to go to hit 20, there is no way on gods green earth they will finish the MEB/PEB. If things start to feel as if they are being rushed, check back in and we can give you some information to slow the process down.
