This is what my mental health provider put.

Patient is a 25yo AD M in USMC hx of PTSD, cluster b traits and multiple psych.

He said he is medboarding me for PTSD but never told me I have cluster B traits. I disagree with him because all my symptoms started after my PTSD issues. Any one know if I’ll be denied VA benefits because he is trying to say I have a personality disorder.

The VA C&P examiner will make an independent diagnosis. The VA uses its C&P examiner as the deciding factor for an award.

Cluster B traits is not a diagnosis. To diagnosis any PD disorder there is a list of common factors that must be documented AND THEN a separate list for a specific PD. Cluster B is not a diagnosis, it is a set of traits.

Thank you for the clarification. I thought they were trying to diagnose me with a personality disorder. Happy holidays and thank you for this forum. It has helped me tremendously with my treatment!
