QTC Psych and TBI appt

Went in today to be screened for PTSD and TBIs at a QTC appointment. I just found it really weird she kept on bringing up Migraines, Sleep Apnea, and IBS in relation to when I banged my head a few times. I got a weird feeling after it that she was trying to pin my sleep apnea, hyper somnolence, IBS, and Migraines on the TBI stuff. I had one tbi when I was knocked out, out of 6 and the other 5 were just diagnosed as maybe concussions by tmc medics on deployment.

I'm just concerned because I'm in the medboard for severe fibromyalgia and hypersomnolence (maybe getting changed to type 2 narcolepsy). Rhumatology told me generally ibs and migraines accompany fibro but this psych doc asked more about arthritis and sleep apnea than she did about deployments and what I saw. I think the question about how many dead Ive seen or explosions was the extent of the conversation. She didn't even know my job. Maybe I'm reading to much into it but this was my second qtc and they all feel rushed and half assed with little knowledge of whats going on. I think the facts she kept saying TBIs when the TBI clinic said MRIs and test showed no relation to current issues or residual effects

TBI has a direct nexus with Sleep Apnea, Migranes and IBS. As well as PTSD. The will not bundle them together with the TBI, however they are doing their due diligence to ensure you get rated correctly.

Hypersomnolence is most commonly associated with sleep apnea.

If you have never had a TBI or PTSD than there is nothing to worry about.

Cool. Thanks for the info. I got a bit worried. Its irritating that everyone down plays hypersomnolence.

I'm actually impressed by the questions you were asked. She appears to know her stuff.
