question about timelines and retirement dates.

hey guys, so i signed my 618 a week ago and i’m stressed about the prospect of getting a response and orders.
after getting ratings and such how long did you guys have to out process. i’ve heard from my leadership, horror stories of people having like 10 days noticed to get out and such.

so in your experiences, after agreeing on ratings and stuff how much time did you have to outprocess and separate/retire?

I signed for my ratings almost two weeks ago and I am waiting for my orders to pop up. The forms you fill out when you get your ratings say AFPC determines your date of separation with 15 days to out-process and 20 days of PTDY and then your terminal leave on top of all that. You can request an earlier DOS but if its less than the 35 days of out-processing and PTDY then the local MPF has to approve it. Unless you have some big opportunity that requires for you to be out sooner, I don't suggest asking for an earlier DOS and selling your leave as you only get the base pay and not the BAS/BAH you would get if you just took the terminal leave. PTDY isn’t mandatory though right so hypothetically if you burn all your leave up prior to and just put down 15 days to outprocess you could be out in 2 weeks right?
